Imperial Repaint of Eta-2 Actis 56K=take warning!
« on: May 06, 2013, 11:04:04 PM »
newest photos at the top; oldest at the bottom...scored the fighter from Goodwill for $3...and it came with an Imperial Officer....(SCORE!) since I don't have an AT-AT....I decided the pilot for it would be a good fit for the Eta-2 Actis fighter in Imperial coloring..it is simply Panzer Grey with Light Grey markings in mostly the same scheme as Anakin's Starfighter; but with a little bit more light grey in a couple places...and a vastly different bottom scheme..... not sure if my photo work is good enough...would like advice on that...

Great looking vehicle but the vintage figure is an exact opposite of it. The sweet clean vintage style does not match up to the prequal style of the vehicle.

Very nice!  I have always thought that that fighter would have fit in very will in the original trilogy series!

Very nice paint scheme on this. On the front page.

As far as picture posting. I have always found the best thing is one solid color background (a light box is best) and turn the camera flash off after you have used some good bright external lighting. I am in need of creating something like this to do some high end reviews. We are also thinking of having a round table on good picture taking and posting.

Great looking vehicle but the vintage figure is an exact opposite of it. The sweet clean vintage style does not match up to the prequal style of the vehicle.

the vintage figure is a place holder until I get the POTF AT-AT walker with its newer figure... I also have this figure; same scale (checked) from Milton Bradley's Robotix series; I think this figure would make for a sweet pilot with some modifications (remove the chest thing, and helmet pegs; get a TIE helmet or similar unit if I can find one..)

OR acquire the black Clone Pilot that apparently exists outside the Prequel series movies....

EDIT:  I just looked at the artwork I have for the Banshee Pilot and the figure I have...they're close enough in terms of uniform appearance that I could maybe get away with replacing the helmet and doing a full on repaint of the Robotix figure...

and as for the Eta-2 Pilot....I have an idea....

Legacy Clone Pilot (Oddball) with removable helmet; and acquire a Legacy TIE Pilots helmet; and repaint the TIE helmet to more closely match the Clone pilot uniform; or a combination thereof?

Good job on the paintwork and photography so far - Tamers tips are spot on too!

Love that Robotix figure - I'm gonna have to keep my eye out for one of those!
