WOW! This is really great looking! I would love to hear more about the techniques you used to accomplish this. The base you have built is just superb as is the paint work.
What specifics would you like to know? The ground was built up using Oasis foam which is that green foam used most often in floral arrangements. Its easily shaped, even with your fingers. Over that is applied a layer of celluclay which is what I most often use for my ground work. The ground work details are a mixture of things. Real stones and twigs combined with other items. The larger ferns are plastic aquarium plants while the tall grass is made from paint brush bristles.
The water is Realistic Water from Woodland Scenics that has been colored to make it appear more murky. Any thing else you want to know, just ask, happy to answer any questions!
