Oh my...it's been ages again since I last had the chance to update here - sorry for that. So - let's start with my most recent project - a new reverse side for my The Vintage Collection custom cardbacks... :)

The "definitive" vintage reverse side for me is Kenner's POTF cardback featuring all figures on a yellow background. So I always wanted to update that to a modern version - with modern figures. However, the necessary work hours to realize this had always kept me from trying this....until now, that is. ;)

So - based on Kenner's classic design, here are all 96 modern equivalents (including a few necessary customs) of the complete Kenner lineup for the original trilogy... More than 115 layers in Photoshop, my most ambitious reverse side yet...can't wait to get this printed... :D

Here's a new project I started a while ago... A friend kept nagging me to finally do some vintage-style Star Wars:Rebels cardbacks....and finally I had time to follow up on his request...

Vader: "Anakin Skywalker was weak. I destroyed him."
Ahsoka: "Then I will avenge his death."
Vader: "Revenge is not the Jedi way."
Ahsoka: "I am no Jedi."

...here are my first two finished Star Wars:Rebels characters on the new vintage-style Rebels cardbacks - I really loved their duel at the end of season two...

Back in March I won four of the auctions Sebastian had for sale on ebay. I am totally happy about that and told him to share a "Gastbeitrag" on here, but I haven't gotten to it since then.

So here are my new favourites of my collection. Blizzard Force's Art is just amazing...

I hope it's okay if I dust off this tread... 😅

I recently stumbled upon the idea to use TVC Remnant Stormtroopers as the basis for new Sandtroopers - and I gotta admit, I love how those turned out. 😃 The currently available Sandtroopers simply don't have the right helmet... Hasbro's new TVC Stormtroopers finally have the "right" Stormtrooper helmet that isn't deformed or anything, but spot on...

The conversion is really easy to do:

#1 - Take a TVC Remnant Stormtrooper and drill a small hole in the back


#2 - insert the Sandtrooper backpack from a "regular" Hasbro Stormtrooper / attach a Sandtrooper pauldron (any color) / reattach the head


#3 - presto, you're done 😁


(#4 - put it on a custom TVC cardback (optional 😉))


I did two more like this a few days later for my Dewback project, can't have enough of these guys... 😁😉

Well, a couple weeks ago I had the only remnant Stormie I got in hand. I'm going to customize the carbonized one that I got from TungHori.

I think this idea is as obvious as it is brilliant. And yet I'm sure I would never had the idea to make a Sandtrooper out of it. The added parts look fantastic on it. And your custom cardback is just the cherry on the pie. You also got a professional tool there. As a dental technician I always love seeing stuff like this. Let's drill some more! Thanks for sharing this awesome kit-bash!

Man, just a great idea. They look spot on perfect as Sandtroopers which shouldn't surprise me, but that Remnant weathering makes em look great.

Nice card too. Hasbro could sell a million of these if they would do it.
