Whew! That place got crowded again.
It was a good day for the show at Bartle Hall in downtown Kansas City and the streets were packed with patrons.
While I seen a lot of local cosplay at the event, we didn't notice as many troopers as last time around. The 501st were there, as were the Mandalorian mercs. No iron man or Terminator this time.
The steampunk cosplay seems to have taken a permanent hold here with several accessory vendors returning to the event. That's cool, as I think that stuff is pretty interesting and you see a lot of creativity put into it.
I did haggle with one vendor to get a better price on a figure and haggled with another on a package deal. The deal of the day was this one vendor clearing out Star Trek and other ship model kits for $10 each.
He had a whole stack and they were all worth about 2-3 times that but, it was just too much volume.
I didn't find any cool loose figure deals this time. The good stuff was sparse and more expensive.
Dropped by Tom's booth and he wasn't in. The other booths were packed, especially the Walking Dead Celebrities
No mention of episode 7 or Avengers
My haul was smaller this time. I did find the elusive atdp driver and then seen it for cheaper at a tru later
The vendors seem to have raised there prices some and the killer 3for$10 deals for good figures were no longer to be found. I seen more vintage Joe stuff than sw. Seen two booths with just autographed pics.
