Last night I finished off Lieutenant Calsius but edge highlighting all of his edges with two watered down coats of Calgar Blue, then went over them again with a couple of coats of Fenrisian Grey.  Any mistakes I went over them with Macragge Blue to neaten him up.  For the black areas I edge highlighted with a couple of layers of Eshin Grey and then with Dawnstone.  For his base I painted over the sand with Agrax Earthshade.

Looking at the finished figure I still need more practice with the human face, especially the eyes.  I have plenty more of these guys to practice on!

I know what you mean, I use Blog2social and that's forever getting the pictures wrong on Facebook.

With 4 Poxwalker repaints still to do, I have put them to one side for a moment while a box of Orks and Marine Intercessors where calling out to be taken out of the box and put together. Last night I have managed to put together a box of Ork Gretchin, four more marine Intercessors along with a Marine Hero (blind pack exclusive)

Base coat has been added to the four intercessors

I've built two more Intercessors and an Ork, base coated them and started painting the Orks skin.  I've also gone back to a Plague Marine to finish off the trim on his armour and rotting flesh of his tentacles.

Having a spare hour last night I set too layering the skin's of two more Poxwalkers, starting with 2 thin layers of Flayed One Flesh, followed with the final layers of Pallid Wych Flesh.  The first picture is with the Flayed Flesh layer

With them dying I started on my latest Plague Marine a Noxious Blightbringer, giving him his base coat.

To finish off I applied a layer of Agrax Earthshade to my Ork.

I thought I would give GW's air paints ago and oh my word why didn't I do this earlier!  It's so much quicker and a lot cheaper than buying their Chaos black spray can.  Boy do I love my airbrush, best thing I bought this year!

Within half an hour I was able to base coat a lot of miniatures along with the Basilica, just need to purchase Macrabe blue, Death Guard Green and Waaagh! Flesh in air paints and I'll be a happy painter lol!

After base coating a small army I went back to my two Poxwalkers and Plague Marine, with their tentacles I used watered down Rakarth Flesh to layer over the work I did the other night and then Pallid Wych Flesh to edge highlight them.  Armageddon Dust for the Poxwalkers stands with brown round them, which leaves my two remaining walkers left to do.

After finishing off them, I moved over the intercessors and Terminator, I started the other night, adding Retributor Armour to their chest emblems, shoulder pad trims weapon emblems and the Sergeants eyes.

I really like those Intercessors and Terminators. The paint job is looking brilliant.

Thanks Shawn

This weekend my wife had me painting our front room but as you know, you can only go as fast as the paint the dries.  So while waiting for the paint to dry, you can guess what I was up to :-)

Before I start layering the marines armour, I wanted to concentrate on some of finer details with their heads, especially the human faces and eyes in particular.  As you know customising a 3.5 or even a 6 inch figure getting the eyes right is difficult, more so with these guys.  I was taught a trick, paint the eyes black and then a couple of drops of white in the each corner.  As you can see, I still need practice lol.
