On Sunday morning I put the theory of painting miniature with contrast paint is quicker to the test.

I completed these three in the space of about 5 hours.  I did cheat with them and dry brushed all the highlights on them instead of hand paint.  Next time I'll take my time and hand paint the lights.

These look fantastic. I'm growing an appreciation for these miniatures. I've been watching YouTube videos on how to paint Star Wars miniatures, and it's not half as involved as what you have. Excellent job.

Thanks JD, I have to admit I did rush these so I was a little heavier with the dry brushing as I should have been.

I found a YouTube video of how to paint faces correctly so I'm giving that a go because the eyes are so tricky to do.  I started a head last night and have got the base coats and shading done, tonight I'm going to try the eyes and then I'll post my results.

Nice update. I look forward to seeing how you do with the eye work on your next update. Off to the front pages.

These look great! I'll be excited to see the results on your eyes (I've sent the link to my son too - he's always complaining about eyes as well).

Thanks Tamer

A second coat of Ultramarine contrast has been applied because one coat is not enough. Now I can start adding more colours to them.
