That's great! I really like "self" customs, too! The head swap works well also.

I bought myself the McFarlane platinum edition CW The Flash and was a little shocked when I opened the box to find I had been sent the unpainted version and not the painted version which is advertised on Amazon (I did check to see if it mentioned that I might receive the unpainted version but there was nothing on the page!)
Anyway I’ve decided why waste this golden, I mean platinum opportunity to paint this guy.
I thought I share with a painting update on the Platinum Flash I got yesterday. I thought I’d start with his head because if I didn’t like it, I can always start again.

A little bit of a a flash update for you, I’ve finished the Flash’s eyes which for my first time  painting a human face on an action of this scale I am very pleased with the outcome. I’ve base painted all gold on his body which I’ll finish off once I’ve painted the red into his costume.

I’m half way through my Flash transformation project. I should have him finished in the next couple of days and then I’ll start his lightning accessories.

I have finished painting McFarlane Platinum Edition CW The Flash and finished off with adding a layer of varnish over him (which unfortunately doesn’t protect all of the joints for I have used a dark red permanent marker). I have a included a before and after picture of his head to the change made by applying the matte varnish.

Wow, that's impressive! You did a great job on the eyes. The colors are excellent. You should bill McFarlane for the paint job   ;D

I can only repeat what Starchaser already said: The paint scheme looks top-notch and you made the eyes look stunning! And I had never thought I'd say this about the eyes of a 7" action figure. His looks appears quite thoughtful.
Very good work done here, mate!

The rain has called off painting my latest diorama because I need the space to paint that beast so I thought today I’d turn to customising Star Wars characters. A few years ago I made my character from Star Wars The Old Republic so I thought I’d make him again but in Black Series scale. If you play the game as a Jedi their armour is loosely based around mandalorian armour with a robe over the top. As you can see I have a pieces in place and going to start painting him as soon as possible. The next character I’m going to try and do is Kyle Katarn. I’ve been hoping Hasbro would have made a version by now but sadly no. I’ve put the pieces together but need to add a beard, possible change the paldron, he is a WIP.

I’m working on a couple customs, one is modelled on the character I play on SWTOR and the other one I am hoping will turn out how I want it.

I’ve finished painting my latest two custom Star Wars figures. The first is Kyle Katarn from the Dark Forces game series, I still need to make his belt, paint up his gun and do his lightsaber. The recipe is:
The body is old Han Solo from the Force Awakens
The arms are from Migs Mayfeld
The head is young Han Solo from A Soli Story
His boots are also from young Han Solo
Greenstuff used for his gloves, trouser pockets and pauldron.
