Hey, that's another brilliant head-swap here! Was a quick post, too! I was looking for a Bothan head and I agree - that one Looks quite similar! Nice background again! Talking About spies - I'm watching another James Bond as I'm writing this - License to kill...

Before I even read your post when I saw that pic I immediately thought Bothan. Man that kit works great for that too. Thanks for sharing this! Where do you find the best prices on those H.A.C.K.S. kits. I am guessing eBay.

Thank you DM! Yeah most of my Galgrebian citizens will be basic head-swaps/repaints. I'm in the planning stages of something big. I need all the citizens I can get, so I'm just using up the  little fodder I have. I can't remember the last Bond movie I watched, my favorite is Goldfinger, but that's everyone's favorite.

Thank you. I just started getting these HACKS they've been out a while apparently, this is Frome wave 1 they have at least one other wave after. Yeah I just get them on good old eBay. They aren't as plentiful as I expected. But they're only about 10 bucks for a mini kit, and most of them have two heads, but only one set of hands.

I can see it. That's a great way to get some variety into the Bothan species (instead of just painting Borsk Fey'lya's 8 different colors of brown). I think the figure turned out really well, and I like how you worked him into the story-line. Great job.

Thank you! In away I wish LFL would just come out and show us what a Bothan looks like, but in a way I like to leave it to the imagination. When I was a kid I thought Mon Mothma said many Balkans died, and I was like Balkans are in Star Wars too? Over the years there have been a few variations of Bothans, the more horse-faced one from SWBF is the one I most associate with what a Bothan looks like. The Borsk looks more like Bendu to me.

I can see the Borsk/Bendu association.  I agree with you about the Lucas making a definitive statement about their appearance. Though, I have to say with all the "fan service" people are talking about in the last movies, I wish that the film makers had given us some long standing species from the books and comics even as background characters - you know: Ho'Din, Cathar, (I wish there had been a Noghri honor guard for Leia), Bothans, etc. - that would have been a whole other level of fan service.

JDeck, your Ithorian build is great. They have to be one of my favorite species as well, and you've convinced me to make one that I've had on a shortlist for a while now. I also think that Helrot body worked out very well for the Ranat. And of course, what a lovely name.;D

Thank you, I'm glad I could inspire you. I can't wait to see your Ithorian.  I got the Helrot for the head, but realized the body was perfect for the Ranat. It's very bony and his clothes are kind of ratty.

I got the Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S Crustacean kit to make something like Therm Scissorpunch. It's just a Head/hand swap with Ask Ack body, to make a seedy gangster.   I named him Brakeesh Na-Buzaru. Skampi Na Buzaru is a Croatian dish using these large half shrimp half lobster things. Of course Skampi isn't a very gangster name so brackish is a better first name.

Brackeesh Na-Buzaru was a Nephran casino owner and leader of the Na-Buzaru gang, a puppet subsidiary of Quay Tolsite and the Pyke Syndicate. The Pykes used Brackeesh's smugglers to transport Spice from Kessel to Galgrebaa, since it was too risky for the Pykes to fly through Hutt-space. Once the Spice reached Galgrebaa it was then distributed to Corellia and Coruscant. Brackeesh could not be touched, anyone who opposed him or owed him money was sold into slavery to Quay Tolsite. Even the Empire couldn't touch him because they didn't want to jeopardize their coaxium deal with the Pykes. When Quay Tolsite was killed during the Raid on Kessel, the Empire took over mining operations leaving Brackeesh unprotected. He was murdered by a Rebel Assassin along with two of his closest henchmen.

Wow, that is one awesome headsculpt! I love the idea that he's a Casino owner - if he was red he'd probably own The Crusty Crab. The claws look awesome, too! The different size make them look even more reaslistic combined with your paintjob! This is such an awesome character you created here, JD! This is where the fun is at!

Thank you! They're really great little kits. It added at least 3 points of articulation to the ASK ACK. Actually 5 swivel and jointed wrists on both hands, plus a jointed claw on the right.  I might get the octopus kit, and make a space pilot. But I really need to make a Droid mechanic next.

Thank you. Yeah I put a red base coat on and he reminded me of Dr. Zoidberg from Futurama. The hardest part was waiting for each paint application to dry. Red, thin coat of light tan, dry brush light blue, dry brush dark blue, tan wash. It actually looks better now that the final wash has completely cured.

Okay JDeck, that is just a fantastic paint job! I get the struggle with patience, but that paid off in spades! I'm loving what folks are doing with the HACKS mini-kits. Really great job. As usual, fun backstory and I love the way you came up with the name.

Thank you! Yeah I wanted to name him brackish because crabs live in brackish water, and it's also an adjective for disgusting or unpleasant. I went to Croatia a couple of years ago and a friend and I made Skampi Na Buzaru. It's basically these shrimp-lobster things, muscles in a watered down marinara sauce. I'm not a big shellfish fan but it was good.

I passed on this mini-kit because it seemed too POTC for me, but you've got me rethinking that. Very cool custom figure!
