An Imperial Probe Droid. Its a good bet the Empire knows we're here.

I made a crude stand out of a wooden medallion, acrylic rod, and a tie fighter windshield that happened to be the right shape to hold the bottom of the droid. With a little TLC i can make the stand look a little better. For now it works. It keeps the droid from falling over, and it gives the illusion its hovering.

That probe droid looks fantastic, definitely a big improvement! The red highlights look great too.

So much better than the POTJ original.
The red eyes, greebles and paint job make it look fantastic.
Did you also do something with the antennae?

Thanks for that reference pic from ROTJ.  I never saw him in the crowd.

Thanks GL1!  With just a few tweaks the  POTF2 version still isn't  bad.

Thanks Tamer! If today's  Hasbro  made another one im afraid it still wouldn't be good. It would have a Nerf gun on somewhere. Now if Bandai made one, that would be awesome.

Thanks bud! Yeah i made the antenna  from thin brass rod, a little more accurate than the original. Changing the  antenna and making the head fit on the body right makes a huge difference. Outside of that the 20 year old figure is still pretty good.

Many thanks Starchaser! Yeah the makeshift  stand still holds well. Its nice to have a bunch of junk laying around sometimes.

I was able to get a couple Royal Guards, they are pretty cool. Id say 9.5/10, only because of a few minor problems.  The helmet is dull and orange peeled. Also the pike itself is made of very soft plastic. When I took it out of the package it was warped into an S shape. On a positive note the sculpt is great the accessories are awesome. I just realized the right finger is flexible allowing it to hold the pike in its iconic  position.
To tackle the helmet problem i just gave it a couple coats of Tamiya Clear Red. I think it looks better. I happened to have a couple of POTF2 pikes,  I like them better because they are made of a harder, more durable plastic, so theyre straight.
I realized Hasbro hasnt made an ROTJ Emperor I'm happy with, so  I kitbashed one.  Im not sure why Hasbro hasnt done this already, but i took a TAC emperor and added the TVC TPM sidious robe and hood. Thats it.  looks great.  Ive got a few more alterations  and accessories to make this an ultimate ROTJ Emperor.

Thanks Tamer! The red clear coat made a huge difference with the helmet. If i had the foresight i would have done a comparison.

Thanks MR.JEDI! Im thinking of using the saga papls head as an alternate, non angryface. Its strange he's missing the back of his head.

Yes i found it weird that he was missing the back of his head and the face was a great sculpt , imo one of the best sculpts  so thats when i decided to put hair on him  .
