Looking good on the officer, the pain is get all the it uniforms to match, what a dream

Thank you Stan. Yeah paint matching officers is crazy. Hard to tell if they are green or grey sometimes.

Great job on Chuck Norris...i mean Outback lol
Thanks Krztfr! Outback wishes he was Chuck Norris. Of course they will never make a Chuck Norris figure, because Chuck Norris can't be played with.

Thanks Tamer! I still have unfinished business with the Hoth dio. Im going to wait until the Bandai AT-AT releases, then the 1/144 snowspeeder AT-ST will release soon after. Then the Shipyard I just need to mount it on either painted wood or black acrylic.

Here's a small update on the Outback figure. I used the 50th Outback backpack, but painted it from black to two tone green, then I added a green U.S. flag patch and a small Ranger patch. I used the web gear from a cobra trooper, and painted that two tone green. The rest of the accessories are from the 50th Outback.  Cool thing about the backpack is it opens up and you can put his accessories in it.

JDeck, funny you posted a custom on Outback AKA Chuck Norris, which is an AWESOME job by the way, because last week I was working on this, note he also has a brown shirt:

Thank you Ron! I think I can do a better job on Veers, especially with the rank board. It's a learning process. I'm not vastly experienced with figures as I'd like.

Thanks Tamer. G.I.JOEs come with great accessories, they have since the beginning. The 50th anniversary figures come with more weapons than any one person could carry. If only Star Wars figures had half the accessories that would be awesome.

Thanks Foxtrot! The brown shirt is cool, Im a traditionalist. The Tiger force Outback is Rad, hes inverted, with a white beard and orange shirt. That is an awesome card. I might need to get something like that.

Custom Recondo
« Reply #145 on: March 16, 2017, 06:08:53 PM »
Continuing my GI JOE kick, I made a custom Recondo. I wanted an updated version from the original, but I didn't really like the Pursuit of cobra  version. I just put the POC Recondo head arms, on a repainted 50th Spirit Iron-Knife. I tried doing a modernized golden zig zag tiger stripe pattern on the pants. He's posing in front of my WIP project "Snake-eater" V.A.M.P MK.2.

For my GI JOE customs, I like to imagine them in the near future, 2025-2030. I think tiger stripes will make a comeback. Universal camouflage pattern and digital will be a thing of the past. I'm thinking for the truck to do a Kryptek Snake skin camo. I'll get into that later in my custom vehicle section.

Thanks Tamer! I'm thinking of making a Star Wars GI JOE mashup. Like, Duke Skywalker, or something like that. I think the 25th anniversary joes aren't as out of scale with SW. They would make cool rebel soldiers.
