Thanks guys!  I'm glad you all are digging this!

I have to say this for the Shipyards...you are a supportive bunch.  I spent the past couple hours over on the RS boards and MAN!  That place is like a snake pit.  Thanks for being the place to go if you want to avoid that garbage!

The first backdrop panel is up.  I have about seven more to make, but I'm loving how it looks with the scene.  It's a subtle detail, but it's WAY better than the pegboard.

The hand painted backdrop does wonders for an already impressive diorama.

Panel 2 is underway!  I want to add some action bits (burning towers, smoke and the like) and then I just have to make the fog layer.  The others will mostly be sky so the Snowspeeders have something behind them.

Another very nice painting! It'll look great as background of your diorama, which is by the way one of the best Hoth dios I've seen ,yet! Nice job!

Execution on Eadu WIP:
I've always loved the landing platforms in Star Wars.  I don't know why, but I love the look of them.  Before I even considering attempting the circular glory of Bespin, I'm trying my hand at Eadu.

The base is there for this thing, but I've got a ton of detailing to do yet.  I want to cut the metal floor paneling out of plastic to more accurately the look and give it more of an industrial, sci-fi quality than painted wood.  Then there are a ton of greeblies to be added and I would LIKE to install working lights.  We'll see how that goes.

The part I didn't consider I'd have to make is Krennic's Shuttle.  My crafting skills on scratch-built ships isn't entirely there yet, so it's not as precise as I might like, but considering this is my first time trying it?  I'm not beating myself up too much.  Down the road, I'd love to remake this thing properly, but for now, after a few more details, it'll do.  It's definitely proved to me that Hasbro could make this thing pretty easily and still have it be at a decent scale to the figures.  It's a bit bigger than the Imperial Shuttle, just because of the wings, but, when painted and finished, it'll work with the figures pretty damn well.

Lots of details and lots of customizing to do yet (Gotta get me some scientists to execute!) but I'm enjoying the process.

Hoth was a brutally excellent diorama already! Now, this will be awesome, too! I really like Rogue One and seeing Krennic's Shuttle in 1/18 scale is beyond exciting!
Thanks for sharing the progress! I think we're all excited to see this develop.
