A friend of mine sent me this pair of pics that he took yesterday as well. Unfortunately WhatsApp always sizes down the resolution of pictures, too. It's cool to see those Inquisitors of the Black Series hanging next to each other on the pegs. Hasbro did a good job on the toys for the KENOBO
series in my book.

I haven't seen SW like that in store in a long, long time.

Toy Hunt: Dresden - Prager Strasse

Dresden, Germany

Wed, Jan 18, 2022

I went downtown Dresden on Wednesday after work. Didn't buy anything, but here's what I found:

TK MAXX
Another try to find Holiday Edition Mando for a friend of mine. But I didn't find the bounty here. They told me they might get it back in stock. If you like vehicles, this is a good place to go. I found some nice toys for the son of a friend of mine here.

They always say "our price", but the MRSP is missing here this time: These Jada cars are sold elsewhere for the exact same price of 9.99€. The Jeep Wrangler goes well with many of Mattel's dinos. But I stick to 1/18 scale.

1/22 to 1:26 scale - I find it funny when a manufacturer cannot tell the exact scale. But I've never seen something like this on a packaging. Might be the reason why this nice model ended up here at TK MAXX.

Skating seems to have a revival. They got the kids covered here!

Müller

Müller is the drug store here in Germany with the biggest selection of toys and media. I'm always impressed by their assortment and how nice and tidy their stores are. Hardly anything is on discount at the moment so shortly after Christmas. But Star Wars figures are!

I'll never understand the hype about those weird POP! figures.

bruder

Always have to think of Clonehead's awesome race track when I see these beauties.

I'm thankful for the co-op between Bandai and Revell. Their kits are widely available here. Only all the different scales bug me. But that's probably Di$ney's restriction/fault.

Loved those snap-kits of airplanes as a kid.

T€DI

Price was raised by 50% in this dollar store. And they will only get one case instead of 3-4 cases from now on. That's the current state here now.

But if you need clay they got you covered.

Unfortunately Schleich is quite expensive in the U.S. thanks to import costs. But if you ever come to Germany you can find Schleich and especially playmobil for cheap here! These sets are 25€.

Galeria
Galeria is like Macy's and shortly before bankruptcy once again. Still they get the latest Black Series figures in.

As mentioned above, TK Maxx sell these for the same price now.

Jurassic World Toys are no longer divided on two aisles. Pokémon toys were moved from the front back to the next aisle. They're where the dinos were before and the dinos were moved to the opposite aisle where army toys used to be.

Even when an item is marked as "sold out" in store online, chances are still there, that you find the last remaining one. Like this Iguanodon.

New arrivals and early discounts for Avatar toys:

Nothing new on the Star Wars front:

Still lots of backup stock here.

Store report: GameStop

Dresden, Germany

Turns out that all the other variations of Banshees are exclusive to GameStop here. They sell them for 21.99€ each.

Is it only me or are those helmets just crazy expensive here in Europe?

SALE

AVATAR

Well, it looks like somebody bought the entire case of surprise crates. I was playing with the idea, too. It was less than 120€ for all 24 of them...I wonder if Smyths will restock them, again.

Nothing really changed on the STAR WARS section. They sold 1 of 2 Deluxe Boba Fett for 30€ and all TBS Revas. TVC Reva is marked as SOLD OUT here in Dresden on their website. However all 5 of them are still hanging on the peg.

This Mando was suddenly reduced even more down to 12€. On their website it is shown as sold out in almost all stores, but it's always worth checking because they usually have one stealth unit on pegs.
I had to pick this one up. Now one peg is finally free again and can hold another NEW figure!

The HotWheels section was re-arranged completely over the past days.

I really like this mini set. What a nice dedication to Paul and his crew. He's missed.

Another great report.

That Airborne Mando could be packed in every new wave an no one would complain. For the life of me I don't know how they won't add these types of figures in the newer waves if they don't want an all new wave of figures.

Thank you, Tamer! I absolutely agree and for Season 3 of The Mandalorian I expect the brand team to come up with some 2- and/or 4-packs to get more different Mandos out there.

It's a rainy day here today so I thought I post what I found over the last week.

STAR WARS

I would've taken Archive Kenobi for 3 bucks if it hadn't been the wrong price...

LEGO

Model Kits

playmobil

Everything is nice any tidy here. They have a decent selection of costumes and accessories for Carnival at the moment. Some discounts can be found, but nothing wild. LEGO's Dr. Strange in a polybag was hanging on a peg once. When I called a friend 10 minutes later to ask if I should get it for him, it was gone. I must say it was quite busy there, too.

SmythsToys stock the very first item of the Hammond Collection!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw their updated website on Monday, so I just had to jump on the bus and go to Smyths immediately. I just had to see this beauty with my own eyes. I hope that the Velociraptor sells well so that many other items of the Hammond Collection will follow.

STAR WARS

Many if not too many Grogus on clearance. Fingers crossed they sell once Season 3 airs.

AVATAR

die-cast Cars

Entrance & Check-out

And this is what I took home this time. 12€ for the X-Wing and 25€ (-38% MRSP) for the LEGO MARVEL Set (EOL).

Another awesome report. Lots of dinos.

Still better TVC on the pegs than anywhere I have been in the last few years.
