ARC-X Hybrid! (56K death)

Been a long time, finally got a proper reset email!
Built this ARC-X hybrid based on my drawings from so long ago using 3 Revell Easy-Kit models; 1x ARC 170, and 2 X-wings

the paint scheme on the ARC-X is based on the Ferris camouflage scheme applied to an F-14D in the 80s, and fits the overall feeling of a prototype/developmental mule for the eventual X-wing. There are only 2 seats in this prototype mule, and the rear seat (3rd seat) is now occupied by a targeting scanner and the gunner now has a targeting computer to control the rear two guns as well as the torpedo tubes; while the pilot can fire the 4 cannons on the wing tips.

a few more shots; I forgot to take a good pic of the finished ARC-X in landing format, but here is the same ship before painting; showing that the landing gear and wing folding still works... next post will have a few build progress shots

That's an awesome hybrid.
The ARC-170 looks great with X-Wing wings and I really like the 80s F-14 camouflage scheme.

That's an awesome kitbash! I can picture that in a comic or episode of Rebels. Always loved the ARC design; shame we never saw much of it outside of Episode III.
