A heads'-up to all of my fellow collectors/customizers:

Target is clearancing the "Jurassic World: Amber Collection" 6" scale Velociraptors for $14.99 (originally $29.99).

If I wasn't out of fun money I would have grabbed a few as they are a great size for 1/18 scale lizard steeds.

I was just looking at Dennis in 6" the other day. He was 28€ on Amazon here in Germany. Instead, I ordered the Mosasaurus for 38€ because he goes for about 65€ in the bay by now.

$15 for the Amber Velociraptor is a great deal! Thanks for the hint, Dan! But is it really 1/18 scale? I thought the Amber Collection is completely in 6".

I'm most excited for the new reveal by MATTEL for the T-Rex with Explorer and Jimmy figure. Always have dreamed of such a set...MATTEL do everything right: They provide their products as long as there's demand for it.

The Amber Collection are 6" scale but would make great rides for 1/18 figures if you craft saddles and reins for them.

Ah, gotcha - now I see what you meant Well, that's a pretty great idea! My brother plays ARK Survival all day long. They got a whole collection of T-Rexs to ride. This game is quite time-consuming and reminds me of EVOLVE from back in the days.
Thanks for the heads-up!

Looks like the new LC Apatosaurus is a SmythsToys exclusive here in Germany:

Found these cool "Jurassic World: Micro Collection" figures at Dollar Tree during my wanderings today.

They are actually made by Mattel, so they can be considered part of the official action figure line.

The scaling and details on the 2 theropods (Blue and T-Rex) and the Triceratops work quite well for juveniles. The Dimetrodon (odd choice for inclusion in such a small line as no living Dimetrodon has appeared in the films, the only one in any of the 5 films was a statue in the mansion in "Fallen Kingdom") has a really odd, shortened anatomy making it look like a "Dungeons & Dragons" miniature from the 70's- which is oddly endearing to me.

If you live in the UK you can find the new vehicles for JW at SmythsToys!

https://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/toys/action-figures-and-playsets/jurassic-world/c/SM06010159

The Mosasaurus is long sold out here in Germany. And I still cannot believe that MATTEL give you a T-Rex, a figure AND a vehicle for under 40 pounds MRSP! Take this Hasbro.
Happy hunting everyone! The new sets are supposed to hit shelves in June. I'm going to look for the T-Rex set, the Jeep with our favorite Nedry and the Apatosaurus. Happy hunting everyone!

They're also running a LEGO promotion 'til the end of May:

When I started collecting STAR WARS figures back in 2005 you could get a medium size/Class II vehicle for $19.99 without a figure or two Jedi Starfighters with a Jedi figure for $24.99. Hasbro doubled or tripled the price by now while MATTEL still give you a vehicle, a figure PLUS a dinosaur figure for $24.99. What's happening at Hasbro? I wonder how MATTEL can still provide this price point and why Hasbro don't..?

There is a 5pk of the mini "Jurassic World" dinos that have been showing up at Dollar Tree recently. This 5pk was found at Ross and contains a fifth mini dino (stegasaurus) that is not in the assortment found at Dollar Tree!

The 5pk retails for (appropriately) $4.99.

Due diligence, my friend LOL

I cannot take credit for this discovery though, a friend on Facebook sent me the image. I have no Ross stores less than 2 hours from my home :(

Before MATTEL got the license for the JW line I remember how rare & expensive the Hasbro Toys for Jurassic World were on ebay.
Since the JW like launched, people started hoarding these toys so that they never have to work again a couple years later. So today we can find pictures like these of collections to buy right off the shelves for fortunes on ebay:

Yeah, I wonder which AF Line is the most profitable? I would assume Star Wars still tops the list, but JW might be there too.

I wonder how much that collection went for?

From what I've heard collectors of the Jurassic World line agree that MATTEL has beaten Kenner as far as choice of products (e.g. Brachiosaurus, T-Rex Escape Set) and level of detail and realism of sculpts. I think it's fair to say that Kenner did their best almost 30 years ago, but the price point that MATTEL can provide even today is amazing!
I'm sure MATTEL's JW line is on top of the best selling action figure lines.

Well, I don't think this seller would sell his entire collection unless the buyer won the lottery. Looks like he only wants to show off how much he actually collected to sell a few years later. The items start at 45€/$55 each so I guess he won the lottery now.

I heard of a vintage collection that was at auction here near me a few years ago. Just oodles and oodles of momc star wars stuff. I never even heard of the collector nor knew of its existence. I guess if it brought its owner joy then thats great, but wonder if this person was always planning on doing it to sell off.
