While running errands this morning, I had to hit Wal-Mart.
I saw these "Infinity War" 6" scale figures. There were no mention of these as far as I was aware from Toy Fair last weekend. They are not "Marvel Legends", but simpler budget figures like last year's "Guardians Of The Galaxy" and "Avengers Assemble" animated series figures.
They only had 2 different sets. Looking through the package, I could see that Hulk has ball jointed shoulders and elbows, a ball jointed head, and swivel hips. Rocket has ball hinged shoulders, what looks to be a ball jointed head, swivel hips and a possible swivel joint at the base of his tail. Teen Groot looks to have ball hinged shoulders and elbows, ball jointed head and swivel hips.
Both figures come with an accessory (a concrete and steel "mace" for Hulk and a really cool looking BFG for Rocket) that the included "Infinity Stone" can attach to. There is some kind of symbol on the stones (different on each of the 2 stones I saw). I do not know if they do anything (scanned by phone maybe?).
There are additional figures pictured on the back. Pictured are Captain America (with beard), Black Widow (with blond hair), Thor and Iron Man. Each appears to come with an "Infinity Stone" as well. I am willing to bet that there will be more figures coming, almost certainly Thanos at least.
Since these are 6" scale, they are too big for 1/18 as is, but with some imagination the scale can be fudged at least with Groot and Hulk. As for customizing, Hulk will make for an excellent Troll with the addition of some armor and weapons.
