I just cleared FTO last shift. Now to beat 1 year probation.

So you have a one year probation before you are a full fledged officer? Congrats on clearing FTO. I hope you aren't having to deal with any of these crazy covid spitters I keep hearing about.

I'm already considered full fledged, but clearing probation is a big deal. You become a city employee and thus are a lot harder to get rid of. Prior to the 1 year anniversary date, you could be potentially terminated for anything.

I have no doubt you will make it and do fine. Still, all those things opening back up in FL make me wonder if you will have much population to police here in a few months.

It's a crazy time to be a cop now. The world is a mess and literally on fire.

Yeah, the major cities close to us are all rioting. I think folks are just sick and tired of being sick and tired. And that thing in Minneapolis is just crazy. I think there is more to the story than we know, but just awful. And then that guy gives the good police like you a bad rap. You stay safe out there bud.

There certainly is. They both knew each other, which speaks to motive. I think he ran his mouth to the guy who was a cop and he got compromised and went way too far. They were security/bouncers at a club together. If they can prove that, they might seek 1st Degree. But as for the other cops, they should be terminated for just standing there. That's failure to act during a felony situation. They should have torn him off the guy to prevent things from getting that far.

And thank you. I'm doing the best I can given the circumstances.

I think the logic is they don't want to over charge. They overcharged the officers in Baltimore, and that was it. Richmond is shut down. Someone last night set a house on fire and blocked the road so emergency vehicles couldn't help. These people are nuts. What do you think? Are they mostly Anarchists from out of state or people taking advantage of the situation or a combination? Be safe out there. We appreciate what you guys do.

Definitely a combo. And they are all pieces of crap. They have victimized so many people.

This bugs me because the vast majority of police are gonna have to bear the brundt of this violent policeman who was probably just trying to settle a private score with a co-worker. And then, we can't focus on the real issue here because of all the violence caused by the riots. I have seen and read so much hate on facebook I am staying off of there except to post customs.

I've had family members who've even turned to hate. And it's disgusting. I deleted ALL of my social media.

I can sure understand it. I mainly use social media to promote customizing or I would too and still might. I just can't stand that kind of idiocy and having my nose rubbed in it.

I feel I'm living in an upside down clown world. What's happening is not only mind boggling, but just outright anarchy.

I still cling to the hope that the majority of people are still good out in the world. This week I have wavered a bit, but I am still optimistic.
