Well, nothing related to Star Wars has made me fall asleep before. Andor did and I think that says it all.
I mean the Sequels have put me on fire in raw wrath, anger and rage. That wasn't good for me either.
Andor is well made, but the content is rather meager and stretched to 12 episodes. I'll re-watch them all during the Holidays and come back with my overall opinion. The last 2 episodes are supposed to be good!
I liked the beginning of the show even though I think the brothel part wasn't necessary.
The actors play it well and the director managed it well to show the dismal time of the Empire.
But the dull tone of the show is a big part of the reason why it doesn't appeal to the general audience from what I've heard. To me it's hard to watch because nothing really happens. The story progresses in slow motion. All Quiet on the Western Front is hard to watch because it shows the senselessness and raw brutality of war in general.
I always wondered where the Empire got all the resources from. And I like how Andor shows that as I'm from a coal mining region as well. The crashed ship with the (fake?) Separatist crew is one of my favorite elements. It shows that the Republic acts with some double-standards as well and that the Galactic Senate was only a paralyzed institution literally tired of war at the end.
