Tales of the Jedi
« on: November 01, 2022, 03:23:06 PM »
Time for a new thread about yet another new dudsney Star Wars show.

I like this new series so far. Good animation, nice story lines and an interesting
story arc about Count Dooku. Unfortunately there was not anywhere near enough
time building on Qui Gonn Jinn as a padawan or a Jedi Knight. Qui Gonn's backstory
and growth into a full fledged Jedi Knight would have been an excellent addition to
the growth of this series.
What I think I am seeing and I hope it's not occurring is that there appears to be an
inordinate amount of time being spent on Ahsoka. W do not need a second Ahsoka
Tanno series.

I forgot this was out there. I need to go watch this.

I am just expecting anectdotal episodes of TCW. Kinda sad Hasbro won't do animated sytled figures anymore. Don't get me wrong I prefer realistic style, but I know a lot of folks liked those versions too.

I actually just went back and watched the first version anime of the Clone Wars. Those are still fun. Durge got killed off way too soon.

When it comes to Durge, you are absolutely right Tamer.
Durge should have had his own story arc before he got blown into a million little pieces of Twizzler licorice.
I will also say that given the many Celebrations I have attended and the multitude of costumes I have seen,
the Durge outfit is the best fan made Star Wars costume I have seen.

Yeah, I bet some folks don't even know who Durge is. He is a fun character. I love that scene with him on the speeder bikes and the Lancer Droids.

I finally had a couple free hours yesterday afternoon and remembered to watch this. I really enjoyed it. So much in tune with the other the Clone Wars show and I really enjoyed seeing the background on Ahsoka and Count Dooku. I loved how they recreated some of the movie scenes and did them in anime format. Matter of fact the animation was so good at some points I was left wondering at how realistic it looked. Loved seeing some of the ships from that age too. Fingers crossed we get a rerelease of that TCW Y-Wing in the blue paint scheme we saw. I am hoping they will continue this series. Man, how cool would it be to see them continue Mace's story after he was pushed out of the window in the fight with Sidious!

Hopefully more interesting episodes in this season. Last season wasn't too shabby.
