Finished Eona, the sequel to Eon, by Allison Goodman last night; it was one of those compelling reads that I just couldn't put down. It started out fairly weak, because it didn't have that connection most sequels have to bring you up to speed. (Three years since the last one was published). As the plot evolved, and the characters did, one of the portagonists "changed", evolving from the sinister antagonist we had known him as in the last book. EVERYTHING changes in this book, so you HAVE to read the first one to get this!!! I was a bit dissapointed with the ending, i.e. who the main character chose in the end, and what all transpired, as well as the lack of closure to the book. (I think I was mainly dissapointed, because *SPOILER* the author leads you to think Lord Ido is a changed man, and when he confesses he's not, it's weak, with little factual support behind it... I know I would've wrote the book differently, at least keeping him alive.) Overall, though, life-changing, no pun intended.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!
