L.E., I love it!  He looks great, and the height difference is hardly noticeable.

Thanks guys! Doc you are so right! Hasbro doesn't even concern themselves with height issues. All they know is, "we make 3 3/4 inch figures." Dillr was made the same height as every other pilot, so creative and accurate huh?

Thanks Pat, the size differences are minimal so I may not even bother with it.

I got back to work on a project that has been sitting around for far too long. Here is a WIP pic of my next figure...Jaxxon from the Marvel comics. Most people hate this guy but he has flown allong side Rogue Squadron and blasted Imperial troops with Han Solo, so he seems pretty cool to me.

hangarbay suggested to post this little surprise here, too, and I think its a good advice, for it belongs to the creator of those awesome customs  (sorry for the double post then, I will follow HB's advice on further works and post to the customers thread instead of my gallery):

Thanks for the comments guys, Art's image has caused quite a stir! It is so awesome, I had to make it my desktop pic.

Back to my pilot Jaxon, I made some good progress the last 2 days working on him here and there as time permitted. I assembled all the parts to make sure they worked together. Then took everything apart and painted all the individual pieces black. Next I decided to ues POTF Garindan boots  with scout trooper feet. I cut the boots off and dremeled the cup shape in the bottom to recess the feet and drilled a hole for the peg. Then I dremeled the top side of the boots to recess the legs into and dremeled down the leg stump to fit. I hope the pics show what I am saying.

I also started detailing the jump suit and have finished the lower legs details. I also sprayed them with dull coat so no paint rub problems. The gloves are from the newer Garindan oddly enough. The boots and gloves took 6 layers of white thinned with water.

I was not worried about additional articulation so I glued the boots on his legs. I could have used a peg like I did for the arms below but it just was not needed.

It took a few tries to get his height just right. I cut off 3 bands on the legs and arms, going by the ribbed areas on the sides of the legs and arms. He was a bit too tall. I cut off 1 more band or rib and it seemed to look about right. Here is a shot showing how he fits in with the other Rebels. I have also done a bit more painting in this pic.

and a bit more paint...

Thanks guys. This one has been a bit more work than I anticipated. A lot of knife, dremel and sanding work on this guy.

Felks, I boil water in the microwave and submerge the figure in the boiling water. Then I pull it out and pop the pieces apart as you see in the wip pics. Once I have painted the piece I don't like using boiling water as it may effect the paint. I have a heat gun that I warm the torso up with then the arms and legs push in a lot easier than they come out. Hope that helps.

Pat, thanks man. My work load is crazy for the rest of the week so I won't have much time to work on Jaxxon until the weekend.
