HA!  Brilliant and innovative use of junk...that works so well as a hover sled.  Gotta love this sort of ingenuity.

You guys may have seen these in various other threads but I want all my vehicle in 1 spot.

First up here is the final version of my Troop Transport.

Next is the Big Mother Trucker from the custom vehicle contest. Bare with me there are a lot of WIP pics...

I went in my attic to my vehicle/big parts fodder box and among other things found this $5 yard sale Star Trek ship, the tank treads from a Corps tank and this old disk holder. I thought hmmmm....this just might work.

So after I gutted it I worked on the inside bottom first and outside top part later then kind of everything at the same time.

The shuttle had no front hatch or back door so I made them next. The dack door needed to fold as there is not enough room for it to open with the cargo hold on the back.

After that was done I wanted to make track covers as suggested by a member here.

To get me geared up for greeblies I did the container first and designed the hanging mechanism for the extra bins on the side.

Then I moved on to the shuttle.

I'm on pic overload right now but I love traveling down memory lane with the build up shots of this great vehicle. That interior still astounds me.

Tamer and Clint, thanks and that is exactly the idea. No one visits the old contest threads and I new it would be good to scroll down and see it all at one time. This was a lot of fun and after playing with it several times I only had to glue one of the side rails back on the hinge so she is holding up pretty good. here is a shot with a medical bay on the back.

hooked up to a power droid...

I like that last round of shots, the best. That thing fits right into your massive dio. It may be time to update your figures thread now. I don't remember seeing those repainted ATAT drivers but I like em.

Sweet vehicle. Boy that didn't take long once you got started. It looks right at home in your diorama. I like the fact that the pieces swap out (with velcro?) and that you can customize this to the tenth degree like you did with the medical bay on the back. It is kind of like a platform truck applied to SW, going to the fp! And oh yes, I like those atat drivers!
