Glad everyone likes the loader design. I need to update the photos as I had to move them into a new album.

Now for an update on the Concept Snow Speeder Tamer sent me so long ago. I am glad he understands the creative process and for me, I have to jump around on many different projects. I am really inspired to finish this one this weekend and I am really close as of this afternoon.

In the first 2 pics you see the styrene I added to the top of the wings. and I sanded it to prep for paint.








Now for the fun part. I asked Tamer if he wanted something new or something old for the paint job. He gave me free reign, so that opened the door for me to use every technique I know of to make it very battle worn. I am trying to make you forget this is a toy and going for a scale model look/ make this thing as realistic as I can. I am just about done with her, just a few details mostly on the inside. Here are the preview pics.








What do you think of the open holes in the front canons? I have a part painted up for that spot but it looks kinda cool as is. Here are a few more of her in the sky...

I have been stockpiling different ships as I get them from rummage sales and stuff.
I have this concept snowspeeder in my "parking lot" so to speak. Just trying to figure out what direction I want to go..

That's a terrific piece of work, Luke! Looks pretty darn realistic and very much has the used-universe look we all love. Well, I do anyway  8)

Thanks guys! After all the greeblies are glued on I sand the vehicle and spray on gray primer, silver then a flat clear coat. Now I use facial mask product applied with a q-tip in spots and when that dries it will show the silver in the end when I remove it.Next I sprayed on tan, the second coat of tan was blended while wet with white. Once dry another flat clear coat. Then I covered the masking spots again where I wanted white to show through. I taped off the design for the gray and sprayed it. Taped off foor orange and sprayed that. Next I removed all the facial mask product and followed by a good bit of sanding to further dull and expose the silver on all the edges and lines all over top and bottom.Flat dull coat. Finaly weathered with pastells and last flat dull coat. whsew! and she is almost done...
