Dan, thanks so much for your ideas. I did flip everything like you are describing and felt that was exactly what it looked like and it was too simple. Who knows I may have been wrong. I have already added many things to the sides and back like vents and a few working parts you can see in the images below.
Jules, I agree with you all the way and love the photos you provided. Gives me lots of ideas and things I want to incorporate into this vehicle.
Oh, I know Pat but you know me I tend to stick to OT paint schemes/styles.
Jtrooper wait no longer I have some new pics!
Shawn thank buddy and no, the B is already covered up! haha
Jay, glad you are ready for the insanity to begin, keep checking in on me.
AFE, that is a interesting story line you came up with. Sounds quite cool and thanks!
OK I have heard about plastic welders and I want one. I watched a few youtube videos and saw people doing about the same thing with a sodering iron. So I cut this container in half then trimmed it to sit level as a balcony on the side of the ship. I kept some thin pieces I trimmed off to use as filler if needed. Now you want to wear a dust mask and do this outside, I literally melted some of the plastic on the boat then stuck the balcony to it. At the same time I used the iron to melt some of the balcony so the two surfaces would dry and become one. First thing I will say is that it worked but it looks like complete crap and leaves the area all scared up. It melted some of the extra plastic into those areas but that doesn't look that great either. In my case this part of the floor will be covered with a foamy as there is a depression in the balcony floor and it is the right thickness to match up. I have also added many random bits but feeling I don't want to over do it. She also has claws to handle cargo. I wish I could make a door that would oped in the front lower hull...
Can you find Sponge Bob?
