Looks like peeling leather to me. and nice mud.
Some kind of gelatin paste?
Great looking vehicle.

Oh, I forgot to come back and answer the question. I used cinnamon to do the final weathering. Try it, you might like it.

I have a new WIP in the dock...

Captain Naughton - who scratched up my command console?

That's right I tried to upholster the chair, wish I didn't. It looks crappy and I should have painted it white. You can't really see it when the rest of the ship is together so I am rolling with it. I did trim up a few areas after these pics.

I had to seal up the open wheel wells on the bottom and filled it with styrofoam to help her float. You can see one side done and the wheel on the other side.

All sealed up now.

More will be revealed soon.

Got a sneak peek of this boat and I am excited to see it progress along. This is going to be cool, LE.

Thanks Jules and Clint, I am getting a few pointers from Clonehead since he is a Navy man. Ask and you shall receive, here are a few more pics of the progress. I should be done with her this weekend.

Then I added a few accessaries, 2 removeble harpoon sticks and 1 harpoon gun. I also tied some string  to cover the fake rope on the big reel.

Any one know of a good source for 2 ancors for this ship? Anti aircraft weaponry will be up next.
