Guys and gals I have finished my vehicle that was posted a good while back. I finaly made time to add the clear windows made from card bubbles. Then I added a few bits to the interior. I talked with the screaming samurai and he told me about some small self adhesive jewels that he uses for simulating lights. I finaly found some at walmart and went to work. The results are below and I am looking for a name that fits the vehicle. Please feel free to throw a few out and keep in mind I think of this one as a mini Twilight.

This looks amazing! I really like the three person cockpit and the way the orange R2 head throws contrast into the slate blue paint scheme! Once again you've outdone yourself brother!

"The Empire has a legion of loyal soldiers that are in endless supply."
"Only Imperial stormtroopers are so precise."
"For the Empire!"

This is really cool.  I would have never guessed that three people could have fit in there after looking at the first few pictures.  Excellent work!

I want to call this The Twilight Strikes Back!

Any name on it I think it is awesome, so much better than what I remember from its original birth. On the front page.

Thanks guys! I am also wondering what everyone thinks of the Jewels I used to simulate lights...I wish they were just a bit smaller.

I would have to call it the “Waning Light” in reference to it being a “little Twilight”.

I also took a few seconds to write down a small background of the design. I hope I is something in line to what you were thinking.

A Corellian Engineering Corporation G2 class personal exploration/scout ship. This ship, sold as an upgrade with the G9 Rigger freighter series, was to be used a combination runabout and to explore/scout new worlds when docking space was limited or when it was not prudent to land the main ship with a full cargo.

Most examples were not armed even though many Corellian’s did so as a safety feature to help ward off pirates and other privateers. It could carry 3 beings, pilot, communications/navigator, and passenger in the middle. Most armed versions that were armed retro fitted the fire controls to the rear-facing seat and moved the communications suite to the middle passenger area.

The G2 series had an Astromech slot built in to help aid in navigation and also to enable the crew to survey systems for possible valuable minerals and ore deposits.
Over all the craft were very stable and handled more like a fighter then a runabout due to CEC’s habit of adding in oversized engines and control surfaces.

Although they were not shielded they were very hardy and resilient craft due to the extremely dense hull plating that was used in the manufacturing process. The plating was from a shipment if miss cut plate meant for a run of Action 1 freighters.  They also lacked a hyper drive system, which made them very reliant on using a base ship or platform.

This is the most fun custom vehicle I've seen in a long time! I love it! What an inspired use of that base.

I like something simple like "Dusk" or "Sundown" to allude to its Twilight similarities.

Tom! So glad you got in here to see her and even more so that you like it.  I can tell you I love it and she is one of my favorites to date. It has that off symetry design that give the feel of the OT and you know I am all about that! The main thing I knew I would do is keep all the original stickers in place but weather them. Did you see the numbers on the side? I should get a clear pic of the dragon on the lower hull.
