The sand (B.A.D.A.S.S  :D) speeder bike is a great looking vehicle.
Awesome detailing and perfect weathering.
10/10

thanks FB, I wish I had done a few more things to it that I'd wanted to do, and I may go back and add them.  For one I wanted to have a grill plate added to the front of the bike, right under the steering vane's, the blank empty detailess spot bugs me.  I think a grill section or intake manifold of somekind would look good there.  I also wanted to add some other weopons and gear but just couldn't figure out a configuration that looked well.  I also didn't want to make it look to loaded down and cluttered... I think I reached a good balance.

got a couple new vehicle projects.  More speeders/swoops.  I picked up a 4 pack of die cast motorcycles today from wal-mart.  I forgot the brand but they look pretty good and I've used them in the past to make swoops so I'm going to use them to make a few more of various styles.

the first of the bunch is going to be this one:

I plan to remove the wheels of course and replace the front tire with steering vanes and the rear tire with some kind of exhaust nozzle.   I plan on making this one into a civilian "dirt speeder" or recreational swoop...   It'll be something that you would be likely to see proped up on blocks out in watto's yard or behind some old moisture farmer's garage....

Interesting...

I have three other bikes that I'll be doing this too, should start work on them later this week.

If you look back through this thread and come accross the other speeder bikes I did you'll see the end-result/technique I'll be trying with these 4 new bikes.

I just found them at my wife's WalMart today - made by Maisto.  I was holding one of them up against one of the new "deluxe" Iron Man figs, the ones w/ the slip-on armor with scads of engine/thruster nozzles.....

doc that'd be a perfect set of thrusters and greeblies to add to some of these.  Some of these maisto bikes, and even the 1:18 hot wheels ones (although the hot wheels bikes do not use screws to hold them together and are much more dificult to take apart.... fyi) work realy well for civi speeders and swoops.

so you guys remember that dirt bike I showed you earlier?...

well here it is now:

F.W.U.P.S.
Feather Weight Urban Police Speeder

The FWUP speeder is an ultralight, bare essentials speeder bike built for urban patrol units in response to the increased criminal activity of swoop gangs throughout the galaxy.

The FWUP speeder is highly meneuverable and able to make drasticly tight turns that most speeders would require slowing down for.

Without weapons capabilities the Trooper must rely on the FWUPS' speed and meneuverability to aprehend suspects.
