Think mini hover APC? Rear door pops down, small squad jumps out...

Why go through life base fig, when you can customize?

haha yea I know what you mean Wraithnine and great idea Stenhunter, that is kind of what I was thinking. Don't forget I got this at a yard sale for $3 , the front window and back door were missing so it is far from mint. I have 3 different ideas I am mocking up right now and there is one that is very fascinating. I kind of hate to spill the beans so for now I have pics of the vehicle disassembled.

NOOooooooOOoooo  don't ruin that shuttle.... I've been watching several trek shuttles on e-bay for a while... I dabble in both worlds unfourtunately. lol.

hmm... perhaps change the engine pods into repulsor pods, throw a turret on top and make it a high speed troop delivery platform?

idk....  Looks like the shuttle pods have wheels in them?  that's cool....  Do you have the cockpit cover?

I got this from a yard sale for $3, I don't have a cockpit cover or the back door. Those items will be the hardest for me as I have never had to fabricate anything like that. I am thinking about a foam core frame covered in styrene for the back door and the cockpit cover maybe a foam core frame with tinted plastic window. Any help/ideas on making these parts would be great.

Yep on track, make a template of the back door while it's disassembled, and same for the front window. It will be easier that way.

You could probably use some paper clip (cut to fit) for the ramp so it can go up and down. You'll get it and of course we're all here to help.

Yeah, guys even though this is technically a "contest" do not be afraid to put up WIP pics and ask for help.  Your not realy playing for a real prize on this one and if it turns into a comunity wide help session thats awesome!  The commraderie here is awesome and I'd love to see everyone commenting and helping each other despite the fact that they are "competeing" with one another.

Wow, Trev, that is just incredible looking! To heck with the hasbro version, I want mine to look this way.
I love the outdoor shots and Barry is right in that this one is headed for the front page!

hey now... it has to be a tangable custom, no photoshopping! ;)

although, you can photoshop the finished result... but judging will not be on the image itself, but rather the custom...
