well, I didn't throw them out, I don't think, so that might be an option.

I figured I did something, they worked one week, dead the next, :(

awww I hate to hear that simon, don't give up... It's definately somethign that you won't get right the first few times... I've got to recast that mando helm.

worst part is I've got to try and do it without cutting off the rangefinder, the guys i'm borrowing it from doesn't want the original damaged.....

That does kind of make it tough. The first mando helmet I molded had the rangefinder still on it and it usually caused complications while casting. It made it a booger to clean up the casting while not breaking that stawk off also.

do they have any idea what a pain in the ass that that's going to make it for you to cast it?

which Mando helmet did they lend you?   if I have an extra of it, I'll send it to those squeamish folks who want to make your casting endeavor difficult.

actually I just got the ok from him last night to go on and trim it off.... I just have to put it back together when I'm done. lol.

I know.. hopefully I'll be able to actually get a good mando helm. now.

I believe the one he sent me is the grey helm. out of one of the EE packs.  he also sent what looks like a jodo kast helm. but I didn't think jodo kast had a removable helm... maybe it's one of the EE figures'....?

nevermind reattaching the stupid rangefinder to the helmet, if it's the gunmetal gray/silver EE Mando helmet then I DO have an extra of it so I can send it to you to forward it on to him if you want.

and no Jodo Kast did not have a removable bucket.   because that figure was a repaint of a pathetic Fett.

I thought jodo was the repaint... I never opened him mainly because I new the figure sucked already! lol

NFC you don't have to do that... but he'd probably be happier with an unaltered replacement.  Don't rush on it cuz I'm not sending his stuff back any time soon.

I should have your helmets finished tonight and in the mail in the morning. btw...

Devin made some castings for me and I got them today and I'm pleased with it all.   A few air bubbles and imperfections but nothing  at all worth complaining about, for someone who just learned casting this is some impressive shit IM)

I sent him a bunch of shit to cast up but of all of what I donated, the Rebel trooper and Rebel Honor Guard helmets were the only ones I sorely needed and I'm totally happy with the results.  Most of them are white but he sent me a couple rad clear ones and a black HG one with a blue visor that I already have an idea for and even a cool, weird "visor" variation that I don't know if it was intentional or not but i LOVE it.

thanks, Spud,. for the help!

Well it looks like Spud has been holding out on us as those are not bad looking casts to me. I really like that clear stuff.

Yha, good job they turned out nice.   Seeing these makes me want to get back into it, but I just don't have the time or space anymore, I'll just have to start buying stuff from you guys.

lol the weird visor variation as you put it was from an instance where the resin didn't settle into the mold completely from the pour spigot...  so only half the helmet got molded and the top half was left out.  I thought you'd like it though so I didn't toss it.

I'm glad you approve.  I hope to be making some more soon.

Hey Devin, you were indeed holding out on you! Excellent job, those clear ones really turned out nice and from what I understand it is hard to get good clear ones! Between Clint, Michael, and you there will be a great supply of parts and accesories. Hasbro won't make extra parts, so you guys can! Nice work again Spud.
