thank you, I'm proud of them.   Honestly, Jabba's criminal empire is so big that I figure he's probably got hundreds of goons, hitmen, debt collectors, and dealers working for him we've never seen.

I have to wonder when Brian Daly concieved the scene what HE imagined that 'circle of friends' consisted of.   I'm glad everyone likes these.

Consider the idea pinched, I am really liking these and I know where I can get a Nimbanel Head, oh by the way guys expect to see 3 new customs from me very soon.  Sorry for the Hijack, these are most definitely pinched however.

okay, I'm stuck on my latest round of customs so I unfortunately don't have anything new for y'all to look at    :(

but I do a question.   I'm looking to expand my horizons a little bit.   I asked about paint in the Resources section but I need more help than just the paint I've discovered so I'll ask here.

Who has customized some die cast metal vehicles?  I know CH said he has.

I'm wanting to try it on a couple Hasbro Titaniums but I don't know what I'm doing, in fact, I am not even sure where to start.  Need to hit the hobby ship this weekend but I need to get a list together of what I'm looking for....  Type of paint?  What brands of paint, just Testor's?  Should I primer first?   What should I use to seal the paint on?   And if I'm doing more than just painting, how do i body different metal parts together?

Are the Titaniums all made of die cast metal or are there plastic parts here and there on them?  I swear the V-19 wings are plastic, if not, that's some light metal.  I don't know, I've never put a model vehicle together.

Do i need different paints for the metal and the plastic?   (if I do, I'm worried about finding matching paint colors among the different kinds)

NFC, yes, alot of the titaniums feature both metal and plastic parts on em. When I did mine, I just used the same paint for everything. At the time, I used Testors or Model Master enamel paints with pretty good luck. You can find a couple of shots of some JSF titaniums that I did in my out of date Shipyards custom Gallery, like this one

and this one

I believe that there are more in my custom figure thread but I'm not sure where. You would have to go through it and see.
I didn't use any primer but painted directly onto the painted metal and plastic and didn't seal over it as enamel is more durable than acrylic when it drys.

Good luck buddy. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

my own interpretation of Dr Evazen (aka Roofoo) and Ponda Baba (aka Sawkee).

I wanted Walrusman to look more like the Aqualish seen in the prequels, the extra eyes are creepy and interesting and the tusks are a LOT better than the ass mouth the Cantina mask had.  The vintage figure's wardrobe was CLASSIC, the movie wardrobe sucked.  AND flipper feet!

I wanted the guy with a death sentence in a dozen planetary systems to look a lot younger in his prime for master criminal escapades, more believeable as a guy who's truly dangerous.  If he'd been in the Outlander Club when Kenobi and Sky Guy were, he might've appeared like this.

I hate the storyline that WEG devised for these 2 guys, I think they have a lot of potetial to be real creeps, really vile thugs who can scheme the galazy into their back pockets if they need to.   I think maybe their story is better left a mystery.

Looking good, NFC! I like how the Death sentence guy turned out. That's a good look for him.
