Great custom! I love the vintage look and great splicing with the Joe and SW parts. Looks like you did some sculpting as well on the thighs right?

oh hell yeah.  I am LOVEING this one.  It never occured to me to paint a boba up in the vintage colors... it looks excelent!  I love it!

you used a slightly different technique than I do for the knees, I see that you put the original knee peg inside the joe thighs...  at least I'm assumeing those are joe thighs, they look a little odd.  are they RAH parts?  Please reveal your recipe!

the knee joints are from the evo Fett, I chopped the thighs down and hollowed them out.  I took the thighs off a 2004 Alpine (modern o-ring Joe) figure, dremelled them down above the knee joint enough to fit inside the remains of Fett's upper legs and fused them together.  I sculpted the familiar pockets Boba Fett's suit has.  I'm not sure which o-ring Joe's waist I usedbut it was slim enough to fit the Fett belts over it with minimal dremel work, super glue fused them together.   The torso with the o-ring was also '04 Alpine's, I just dremelled it down A LOT, enough to just keep the 2 halves of the post that holds the o-ring intact and then glueed it up inside the hollowed out Evo Fett's torso.

I have no idea how much, if any, sense the above description actually makes.  I can share my recipes but I find it difficult to actually explain how I pull some of these modifications off (can't give directions either).  A lot of my customs that are really involved, ya know what the secret is?  I'm making it up as I go along.

What a great vintage type custom. Love it. going to the front page. I wonder why none of us have thought of doing that yet! Sometimes the things right in front of your face make the best customs!

so thechest/torso joint doesn't work now?  well that's a shame...  You could have used one of the legacy/evo boba's and used a Cobra commander torso for the hips and then did the same thing for the legs (which is alot of work, but looks good IMO).   that way you could have kept that torso joint....  because I'm assuming now he can't rotate his chest/torso either?
