Ok..here's another GI Joe slash Clone Wars conversion...

This time it's the Snow Vehicle from the latest toy release....It's now the MR-AT (Multi Role - Armoured Transport) Nicknamed 'The Monitor'. This little wonder was used by the Clone Army and later Imperial Forces in the Ground Support role. It was also adopted by Imperial Special Forces as the vehicle could be adapted for may uses.

The vehicle is fully functional with firing missiles,
 extendible platform and rear hold.

holy cow! I love it.

ok... brainstorm going on...

that looks alot like a classic hiss tank and I always thought it did, it just looked gay with the arctic attachments...

the new hiss-tank looks almost rediculously crazy... but it has rolling tank treads that are huge....

I've been wanting to make a conglomeration of an old hiss with the new hiss' rolling treads, do you think they could be attached to this vehicle successfully jules?

WOW!!  I bought one of those specifically to do a conversion just like this!  Ok, not *just* like it, as I plan to pull out the gun-tower and replace the manned gun with a remote turret.  Or an R2 socket.  Oh, and bigger engines, round ones.  So, ah - yeah, not like this one at all, really.  But the same vehicle base.

Jules - that's just awesome.  Maybe mine will (some day) look half as good!

I bought that same thing today, with the same idea in mind!!!!!!!  I've been thinking it would make a great SW vehicle and have been surprised that I haven't seen it before.

What are the odds of that?

This looks great Jules! On the front page. I can't wait to see how you incorporate it into your SW comics.

ok... after looking at this again I see one issue.

the place where teh front ski things snapped into underneath the cockpit needs something badly, it looks too toy-ish with that socket showing.  You need to plug in a little laser turret or even a set of steering vanes into there to make use of that detail.

Thanks everyone for your comments...it seems as though anything GI Joe related is a winner so I must try to do some more.

I'm not 100% with this conversion. It is a really cool vehicle, but to me it's not quite Star Wars enough, perhaps it's the windscreen wipers as I've not seen anything with them in the Star Wars universe. Anyhow, I love the vehicle, so what the hey! I'm considering painting it in desert colours and making it proper Imperial with some Sandtroopers to boot. I can see this as a Desert Rat type speeder.

Spuda you asked a question about the HISS tank, unfortunately I've not seen the new version you refer to so I'm not sure how hard/easy it would be to mix the two. Your point about the lower sections are valid, time and parts were deciding factors with this one. As soon as I have some spares to add I shall do so.
