interesting use of that joe vehicle.  I personally think it could have done without the large cannon on the one side, but that's just me.  Everythign else, including the paint job (especially the paint job) look great as usual...

of course when I saw "devastator" I thought I was going to get to see one of these babies in custom form:

the "world devastator"...

Wow, how did this one not make the fp yet. That problem has been rectified.

Looks great Jules. I too love the colors. And you plan to do a bit more? I love the clean look of this. I do like your realistic weathering too though.

Thanks everyone for all of your amazing comments, I always enjoy reading them.

Spudafett, you were right about the cannon, so I removed it.

History:
This vehicle was only made in small numbers due to it's high cost. Fast and well armed, this was the smallest Republic fighter to be armed with heavy concussion missiles, its performance matched that of the A-Wing that was to appear 20 years later during the Galactic Civil War.

Equipped with these craft, Mace Windu created an elite squadron called the Republic Guardian Wing. The elite squadron would accompany the Jedi on some of the most dangerous missions of the Clone Wars. The battle hardened Clone  Pilots were trained by Master Windu personally in hand-to-hand combat and were armed and skilled in the Ligthsabre Arts. Unlike the rest of the Clone forces the Republic Guardians were under the direct command of the Jedi, not the Senate. The squadron disappeared during the Jedi putsch but re-appeared during the very first missions against the Empire, the pilots later trained the fledgeling Rebel Alliance fighter pilots.

wow that looks fricken sweet Jules!! i love the peeling effect on the red paint, very realistic!!
i would love to see a video of you in action with the air brush and giving us some tips on how to apply the weathering (how much air pressure and the paint/water/thinner ratio...)
excellent work mate love the style of this one...

A well-built sniper rifle is a beautiful thing. Ours has two zoom modes, "Up close and personal" and "Hello, you're dead

Oh man this is awesome! That first pic is the one I was waiting on to FP this baby but I see Tamer jumped on the clean version. I can't blame him as it looked great clean and with the bigger gun. The weathering is perfect and I like the look of that pilot! Well done Jules!

whoohoo, thats fantastic! most excellent paint job just as I like it and great setup, pic #1 of the bay is my fave.
now having the chance to compare both versions I too like the one without the big cannon better, but both are great.

now throw her into space and let us see some action :)

Jules, now THAT is a backstory!  I loved it, and the ship looks great!  I didn't realize from the first versions that it was once the COBRA W.O.L.F., one of my favorite Joe vehicles ever!  Too slick, my friend.

Wow, it does look better without that cannon and weathered.

I still like the other pic too though. Well done Jules.

awesome!  Without the cannon the entire thing flows alot better.  I love it.  you've used those sebulba pod racer engines on a few vehicles now havn't you?  They work well.

The weathering and paint job is superb as always, makes me very jealous.

Thanks guys, this was one of those projects where I really didn't know how it would turn out, I've never created a custom from parts sent to me before and it was good practice. I'm at a bit of a plateaux at the moment, I'm still not happy with my weathering technique as there is so much more room for improvement, I'm hoping that the more I work on these things the better I'll get...

Hackcore, thanks! you know how I feel about your creations, so your comments are taken very much to heart.

Spuda, yes I have used these engines before, but only once...they are cheap to pick up and they do seem to fit in with a lot of the smaller vehicle body parts. I'll try something different next time, I might even try a bit of scratch building who knows...

Next however it's the continuation of mine3 and Pat's picture novel ---
