A week or so ago, I came across this moon lamp in a menuards store.
Rechargeable, it can be changed from a blue color to a new moon yellow.
My vision for this piece was a full moon in the sky over the racetrack and it works and looks perfect. I can’t get my camera to take a good pic of it though. The light it casts out reflects too much off the surrounding surfaces and any distance pic seems to wash out. I may have to hang it.

After getting pit row lit up again, I had the idea of using some extra guardrail and hot gluing it to the backside of the pit wall, to cover up my wiring and clean up that sides appearance somewhat.

Check out these printed 1/32 scale vending machines that I imported from the U.K. each includes a paper insert with product images and a thick piece of clear plastic that snaps into place over the insert. I think with a little work, I can install lights in the things.

Wow, love that lighting. The moon lamp is a great find! Where did you find the vending machines? Those look really cool. It will be fun to see them lit up too.

the eBay sellers name is waspslots, SC. He has a small variety of simple printed scenery items, mostly geared towards 1/32 scale slot car tracks. Trash cans, I seen another set of pop machines, tool boxes, oil drums, porta potties, I’ll need some of those.

Thank you for your comments. In between this and the grand stands, and something else,I’m going multiple places at once. I think I may concentrate on that area behind the pit wall for now, but looking back at my recent pics makes me think I need to go ahead and run some lights down that grassy middle run.
