Nice, very nice. Off to share this. Facebook is not working properly this morning, but I tried to add it there too.

Your detailed one is so much better than the regular version.

When you mentioned you are working on a "little project" you could've also told me that you were working in a little masterpiece!
Christoph, your attention to detail and accuracy in any scale is nothing less, but most impressive!
The Imperial Patrol Trooper looks amazing with the paint apps and the speeder looks most realistic.
Another great addition to your collection! It's also great that you found a scan of the book to SOLO. I got this book used for 10 bucks and also sold it for that price, again. I think it's DK's most disappointing visual encyclopedia so far. So if you don't have it, you don't miss anything.

Thanks for sharing!

TIE/rb heavy starfighter

The TIE/rb heavy starfighter, also known as the heavy TIE fighter, TIE brute or the Infiltrator was a variant of the TIE line starfighters used by the Galactic Empire, distinguished by its extra pod housing more powerful laser cannons.
[wookieepedia: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/TIE/rb_heavy_starfighter]

Here is what I used for the custom:
  • Revell easykit TIE Fighter scale 1:110: https://www.revell.de/en/products/star-wars/star-wars-episode-iv-vi/tie-fighter-model-kit.html
  • ball knob with a diameter of 20mm and plastic rods for the pivoting laser turret
  • 1/35 scale Browning M2 machine guns for the laser cannons
  • cardboard and plastic sheets for the additional armor
  • Bandai TIE striker cockpit window (the window on the TIE brute is smaller than on a normal TIE fighter
  • Revell pigments for the weathering
  • beech wood and wire for the display stand

This was a pretty time-consuming custom project. The additional armor was quiet difficult to make.
The laser turret is pivotable 360°.

I hope you like it.

Another TIE concept - what a great sight to start the day with!
Your model is as detailed as the background information you always give to your awesome projects! SOLO does have some great elements!
I’m happy you found time for the hobby, again!

Excellent work!

FF - The TIE heavy fighter turned out brilliantly! Your design for the additional turret is engineered really well, it totally looks worth the effort.

This is a really credible piece of Imperial hardware and a really excellent piece of custom work. I’d love something like this in my collection.

Millennium Falcon

Not really a custom and nothing special. I added weathering to my Revell (1:241 scale) Millennium Falcon.
I used my hand drill and a hobby knife to add some battle damage. I painted the missing yellow markings with a Tamiya paint.
For the weathering I used Revell pigments (black and rust) and a black wash.

I hope you like it:

Your detailing made it look a 100% better in my opinion.

It is like it didn't have any paint on it at all! Nice work.

Off to the front pages.
