it was in the 40s on a couple of those days so we were bundled up. Got  a foggy morning shot in there.

And here, we are approaching the bottom of our run as that red stained wood is the platform at the top of the bottom set of existing stairs. I think the transition worked out well here.

bottom run shots, some were shot from down on the dock.

that last one shows where the final part to build, the platform that joins our stairs with the top existing stairs will be.
Wow, what a project. I was originally inspired to build this one day this spring when while going down the hill to go fishing, the wifey slipped on the wet grass and fell on her butt hard. I think the folks will enjoy this as they are getting older and like to go fishing down there quite a bit. The stairs are fairly shallow, drop wise, so even grandmaw Stella could make it if she desired. Longlegged folk like me can take em two at a time farily easily and cover alot of ground fairly quickly.

Well last weekend was our last cabin trip for the year. It was cooler and the leaves had changed quite a bit since we were there two weeks ago. I did manage to get that top landing for the stairwell done and it turned out great. We did manage to get to fish a couple of times when we were down there but they had been letting alot of water out of the dam and as a result, the fish wern't biting that good. I did get one good sized blue cat and one large mouth bass out of the deal but we were hoping for more crappie.
I am still layed off and were it not for the custom and resin work, I would be more stir crazy by now.

Looks like you and your helper did a great job, Clint.
The wife and I fight too much if we try something like this to be effective as a team all too often.
And that is a brilliant looking tree.
Which reminds me.... lots of leaves here to pick up again.... the joys of Fall....

yes, the wifey and I are a good team when it comes to getting stuff done. She puts up with tedious projects like this well enough to not get real irritated with me, LOL.
thanks buddy. I too, have some leave blowing to do today.

Well it's Friday and day 4 of my first week back to work and I am tired. It's taken me this long to kind of get back into the swing of things. Man, next time I get layed off, I need to remember to exercise.
I'm about 6 orders behind on my eBay and will be catching up on that this weekend plus, the wife was talking about putting Christmas decorations up?  It will be nice to have a day to sleep in.
