This figure was originally in the EE Astromech pack a few years back.  It's a nice set if you're a droid fan.  It's supposedly Red Four's droid in ANH.

the R4-G9 mold is the best mold so far in my opinion (i hated the saga R2 mold ) oh and the comic pack whistler colour scheme is waaaay wrong  he should have a dark green body ,white infills ,,and a white dome with green stripes.

So this R2-X2 figure actually looks kind of  how Whistler is supposed to look?   interesting, makes me think I should have gotten it when I saw it at the store.   Had no idea that Hasbro's version of Whistler so grossly screwed up either.

its actually Red 10's (theron netts) astro     ,and the EE version is black,silver and white

oh i also forgot the R4-G9 mold was also used for the droid factory pack R2-T0 & R2-D2 (battle damaged) so they have the same feature..

I always thought it was Fake Wedge's R2. Oh well.

My favorite Astromech along with R3-Y2 and R4-I9/D6  . Already have the EE one , but want this one too at some point because of his more accurate colors.

Alas, I have yet to see this in true moc form. It isn't slated for release with the March variation wave either.
