Fiala. I'm thinkin of getting some of your stands for a couple customs.
How much would it cost for three of your small figure stands. I mean the one figure stands.
Thanks  ;D

tutorial
make your own figure packaging (shown by the example Endor AT-AT Driver on TLC card)

As promised a short tutorial about homade figure packaging.

First, the material list:
•two HASBRO figure packing (for example 2010 TLC)
•a sharp knife (be careful!)
•glue
•a computer (MS Word and Paint)
•scissors
•a color printer/scanner
•paint and brush
•a bowl with water and detergent
•clear protective film (self-adhesive)

Estimated cost per card: ~2€

The first step is to seperate the plastic bubble cleanly from the card. Use the sharp knife for this step (plz be careful!).

The second plastic bubble needs to be resolved without damage, here is the card destroyed.

The plastic bubble needs to be cleaned after the removal of the card (don’t use aggressive detergent)

Now we get to design the card.
The AT-AT Driver portrait on the front is handpainted. I used standard Revell enamel paints, a fine brush and Warhammer decals for the design of the card. It is important to note the drying time of the paint.

The images on the back are printed in the appropriate size for the card. I used a McQuarrie concept picture of the Endor landing platform cause the Endor AT-AT driver is only a concept as well.

Both images are glued on the card. I used clear protective film for a better protection.

The nameplate with the barcode was prepared by the same principle.
The nameplate was scanned and then edited with MS Word.

Now the time has come to bring all parts together.
Please note that the drying time of the adhesive is very important (~1 or 2 days). I used clothes pins for the fixation of the plastic bubble.

working hours: about three hours

Christoph I can sure see the pictures now and spent quite a good bit of time going over your tutorial again and again and it is just amazing to see how this was done.

I plan to print this on my good printer at work and then keep a working journal with the figure.

I would sure love to see a youtube video of this and how you created the great custom Endor AT-AT Driver figure with speical weapon too. It really is just a fantastic work of art and I wanted to thank you again for it. I don't care if I get any xmas presents this year as this just made my holiday!

On the front page with this by the way. I have a feeling the thread views for this are gonna go up by the thousands!

I cannot believe what I just saw. Christoph, I wrote you in the last mail that I am running out of words, but no I am not sure if I feel like a heart attack or not.

This project is just unbelievanble! There are so many differnent ways to create custom figures and you did an awesome job. For me it looks like a real Hasbro product. Wait for another week and you will have an offer from Hasbro to work for their production section.

I am so amazed I need something to drink...this just beats me off my chair. What do you think about an Clone Assasin on card?
Wouldn't that be amazing?!

By now I have collected quite a few ideas and material, and I can't wait to return to Germany. I will tell you later on. Next week I have to write my final exams at high school. That's the reason why I was inactive on the Shipyards...

It's  a little disadvantage being a student, but I do my best to find some time for myself, too...Next up I will hunt the next Vintage wave of Return of the Jedi. All the People here are mad hunting deer...:D I prefer hunting Hasbro's great figures!!
