Self-made basesSome of my figures in my collection don't stand. I tried to make my own figure-bases and here you have the result. They are quiet simple to make if you have the right tools.
You need:*electric drill or hand drill
*drill with a diameter of 2,5mm
*wood (about 5 and 10mm thick)
*wood glue and glue
*cotton swabs
*saw
*hammer
*set square, compass and pencil
*cutter knife
*paint and brush
*sandpaper
construction guidance:1.) Draw the molds that you want with the set square, the compass and the pencil on the wood.
2.) Cut the bases with the saw out of the wood.
3.)Sand the wood
4.)Stick the single parts with the wood glue together
5.)Mark the position of the figure you want with the pencil on the base
6.)Drill two holes for the cotton swabs in the base
7.)Put the cotton swabs in the holes (use the hammer for this)
8.)Paint the stand in the colours you wish
9.)And finally put the name of the figure and some symbols on the base (I just print them out on normal paper)
I hope that will help you to make your own bases for your figures
