Did you say you filled in the joints with clay and wood glue? Any tips on that?

Yeah mate I used a clay called DAS it's for kids.  Firstly super glue the joints so that they can't move at all,  then just get some clay and spread it out like you are making cookies then get some woodglue and pour some into the middle.

Once you have done that spread the woodglue all over the laid out clay and start folding and kneading the clay,  Once you have done that start filling in the gaps.  The reason I use woodglue with the clay is that once mixed into the clay it doesn't crack they clay when it expands or shrinks.

oh.... so the trooper is 12"?  interesting.  I realy didn't notice that at first.  Would you mind getting a shot of the finished dewback next to the original sandtrooper that came with it?

Yeah bro it's the 12" one I do have the 3-3/4" one and will do somethin with that soon.  And sorry mate I don't have the Hasbro sandy that comes with it as I don't have it anymore.

Cool man. I am going to try that on 1 of my 10,000 Greedo's that I have 1st before I try it on something expensive.  I also heard a mixture of super glue and baking soda. I hate all the joints showing in the figures nowadays. I don't want all the articulation in my figures, I just want detail. I also heard the same thing about superglueing the joints into the position you want to keep it from moving. Thinks for the tips.

wow, that Dewback looks a thousand times better! Makes me want to clay/glue over my POTF 3 3/4" dewback's useless joints, because that looks soooo much better! Won't be much of a loss really, since his feet only sit flat on the ground when the legs are in one spot anyways, haha! My TaunTaun's legs face a similar problem, they might just get clayed too! Keep up the great work!

Hi All

Guys very sorry very this late reply, thanks so much for the replies and feedback on all my custom I really appreciate them.

I also just wanted to let  everyone know that I'm having a break from SW figures, diorama's etc for about 6-8 weeks as I am doing some other projects. But never fear I will be back after the break.

WHOT! NO HEMBLE CUSTOMS....I don't think you quite understand the meaning of what you are saying!

I must say I am sorely dissappointed in you Mr. Hemble...you come here and make us all feel like worms on the poo of a flea at your more awesome than awesome customs, then you leave us!!! is that how you treat your flock? well I have put your name in my black book of shame Mr. Hemble...

Now go...leave us... we don't care, we can survive without your awesomeness......

(please don't go, we love you Mr. Hemble)

Hi All

hangarbay94 - Damn I didn't realize you loved me that much mate  ;D  I haven't given up on SW customs altogether I just need to finish of some customs that have been on the shelf collecting dust.

I have been doing other projects that I have been putting up in the miscellaneous  custom section so you can still get a little hemble  ;) till the SW custom/dio's are back.

darknsour - Thanks for the kind words mate and glad you have been enjoying the customs.

I think I can echo Jules' sentiment that we sure do love what you do with  custom Star Wars. It will really be missed, but glad to see the hiatus is not permanent. I loved the look of the Indy dio and feature you are working on too. It really is a shame you cannot do this as a full time job. You just ooze talent. I have often thought of just what could happen if we got guys like you, Jules, Jay, Clint, Wayne, Pat, add any of the outstanding customizers we have seen here, and just let you guys play. I would feel like a kid at Christmas. Hopefully that shares a bit of my sentiment to what you and all of the outstanding customizers here mean to me personally.
