Ron, you're a God over here in the states, and your work should never be on the 2nd page. I realize you're a legend in Australia, and around the globe for that matter, and I cherish and embrace every single picture you post.
I feel grateful for being alive in the time in which you create. You, sir, are amazing in every sense of the word.
Don't ever stop, because the world would cease to spin without you. I realize this seems over the top, but you are beyond words.
Super fan doesn't even start to describe how much I, and millions, if not billions, love your work. (OK, that may be too far, but you really are a wonder!)
Keep em coming, mate.

Barry

Hi All

Well finally a SW custom enjoy and as always comments welcomed.

In 2006 I maid a 3-3/4" version of this figure and I always wanted to do a 12" version but never could find the right gear and equipment until Sideshow started making the 12" Sandtroopers. When I made the small version I kept thinking something was missing and when I started on this figure I knew straight away it was extra armour.

I kept along the same guide lines as the smaller version except I added chest and shoulder armour and decided not to go with having a bear head as I did with the smaller version. I also gave him extra gear and once I got the look I wanted I painted and weathered him and the dio using Vallejo paints and pastels.

RECIPE

Figure - The figure is from Sideshow Toys except the map case and flight suit which is from Dragon which as been dyed black. The weapons holster has been made from left over leather.

Base- The base is a picture frame from a two dollar shop, I used plaster with kitty litter and sand to do the ground work. The rebel helmet is from Sideshow and the small shrubs are from Woodland Scenics.

You truly are a blessing, Ron. Your pix and posing always astound the masses, and we truly are thankful to see your gobsmacking( is that a term that you Aussies use?) work.
Thank you. Seriously, you are beyond belief. You originally inspired be me to reply to forums, so you are to blame for my posts. I first saw your work at Sandtroopers.com, and haven't looked back since.
I found myself quickly researching your work, calling my family to the computer to share my escalated pleasure,  and it led me to your site, which I encourage anyone with a brain to visit, and I was knocked across the room from the level of expertise in customizing that I discovered.
People, I must warn you all to buckle yourself in if you find the courage to delve into this genuis' realm. Also, hold onto your jaws, because harm WILL come to you, if you underestimate my words.
Ron, "Legendary' is an understatement, to say the least. "Brilliant' doesn't come close to what you do.
Again, thank you, mate. I'll always be thankful, till the day I die, for seeing the beauty that you present.

Ron, this is another masterpiece you have created. I love your trooper design and the weathering, well you did it, enough said. I need to get my pastels out of the art bin and grind a bit up. You have a signature style that no one else can come close to. I can't put it as elequantly as my friend R1B but you are the master.

Oh r1bb1t I've never heard it said as gobsmacking, I always say gobsmacked - as in I'm gobsmacked at how awesome your customs are.
