I haven't commented on your thread recently.  That's only because I don't want to seem like a stalker.  I look at all your posts.  ????????

If you haven't started on the second figure yet, could you post a side by side of your Chewie and the original.  I want to see exactly how you highlighted his pelt.
Thanks

Cheers buddy and sorry I don't have a second Chewie for a comparison shot but this is how I painted the pelt.

1 - Used Games Workshops Scorched Brown and painted the whole figure.
2 - Dry brushed with Vallejo's Beige Brown about four coats.
3 - I then used Games Workshops Snakebite Leather to high light the lighter fur.
4 - I then used Games Workshops Chaos Black for the darker fur.
5 - I then used a mix of Chaos Black and Matt White and mixed until I got a charcoal look and dry brushed that over the dark fur to high light it.
6 - I then mixed snake bite leather and beige brown 50/50 and very lightly dry brushed the lighter fur.

Hi All,

Here is the outdoor pics and I had to use the imperial rifle as I can't fond Chewie's Blaster.

Cheers mate and the dio is a old one I originally did for some sandtroopers and it still comes in handy.

Hi All,

Thought I show a little project that I'm doing with a Bandai Stormtrooper which I've nearly completed painting it into a Shocktrooper.

The figure and weapons are straight out of the box and to paint him I used Vallejo paints. I still have a little painting to do on the black areas and then build the base which should be completed on the weekend and then I will get my usual outdoor pics done.

Hi All,

Here is the completed Shock Trooper.

Recipe

Trooper - is from Bandai straight out of the box and I used rubber black balloons to cover the joints up. I used Vallejo, P3 Paints and pastel chalks to weather him.

Base - is the base that comes with the figure and I added balsa wood sides to raise it a little. For the ground work I used a mixer of spakfilla, model railway grass and dirt from the garden and mixed it all together and once mixed I then added PVA and Dark brown paint.

Once the ground work was dry I then used model railway grass to add an extra layer and then used plastic fish tank plants which I gave a medium green wash to and then attached them to the base. The small tufts of grass are from Army painter which were attached by adding a small amount of superglue.
