Ma. K is one of the greatest SF things nobody knows about.  These things used to cost amazing amounts of money, so glad they're cheap now and all over.

I've been wanting to do one of these kits since I was 9 and bought a japanese-language hobby magazine at the model railroading store my grandfather always went to.  I poured over the beautiful pictures and kits for years.  In college I bought someone's epic Ma. K kit collection for really cheap at a garage sale, and they sat in on my closet floor for years until the late 90s, and eBay.

This looks great thanks so much this made my day!  This just puts the fire in me to pick up some 1/20 kits ;)

Hi All

Guys thanks heaps for the feedback on this and appreciate the front page thank you.

flaccideagle - Yeah mate these are great figures to say the least and as you said very cheap now, I got my first 1/20th kit back in the 80's and loved em then as well. I've got a few 1/20th kits arriving soon and can't wait to get stuck into them I'm even thinking of adding more articulation to one or two of them and even adding 3-3/4" figs in dio's with them as there isn't that much of a hieght difference.

Well, with using larger sci-fi models of an off-scale (1/20th) with figures of a more standardized size (1/18), you can pull it off easier - "it's a smaller vehicle."  Same goes in reverse from 1/20 with 1/35 fig's - "hey, it's a *larger* model."

The SAFS kits have always appealed to me, but I've never had the money to get them.

Hi all

Docoutlands - I've been looking at a few 1/20 Ma.k kits and the SAFS and Mesulines would look great with 1/18 figures.

And if you haven't already head over to www.hlj.com they have %15- %20 of Ma.ks all year round.

That is one sharp looking piece of mech, type, armor, Ron. Once again, your light weathering makes this one look just right without looking too dirty. Love the little diorama, buddy.
