Cheers Shawn and yeah the weathering turned out great, I was a bit worried considering I haven't done any small WW2 figures for years.

Hi All,

More work done to the boulder chase dio.

I added more moss to the moss that was already glued down to give it more thickness.

I also added spider webs and thanks to Roger Bowen over on my FB page for suggesting the Halloween spider webs but the ones I found were really thick so I used cotton wool intsead.

Hi All,

I while I'm waiting for glue and paint to dry on other pieces I am doing I decided to start making two small viginettes for a Batman and Superman I have had for a while.

This first one is of Batman and he is from the DC Icons series. When painting him I decided to give him a grey/black look as I love the gritty look to the colours.

I also removed the plastic cape and replaced it with a cloth one and added wiring to the sides of the cape.

The base is still a WIP and is built up using a Mezco Star Trek Sulu base and then I used foam for the footpath. The destroyed building is high density foam as are the pices of debri.

I then mixed sand/spakfilla/paint for dirt and once dry I will then add the exposed steel rods and paint the whole thing.

Batman was painted and weathered using Vallejo and Army painter paints and the bat emblem is a piece of pleather cut into a shape I like

Hi All,

Here is Superman and he also is from the DC icons series.

I removed the plastic cape and as like Batman replaced it with a cloth one and added wiring to the sides.

The base is still a WIP and so far it has a base from a Mezco Trek Sulu and I used high density foam for the debri and a mix of sand/spakfilla/paint for the dirt.

The stand is from the robot that came with the Icon's Superman and I sanded down the top section so that it would fit into teh peghole in his foot.

Superman was painted and weathered using Vallejo and Army painter paints, I also decided not to add the Superman emblem on teh cape as I think it looks better all red.

They both look great Ron. Pretty cool to see all the different genres you have made dios and customs in. Off to share the latest.

Thanks heaps Shawn and I started out doing super hero's and pulp hero's so it's good getting back into doing them again.

Hi All,

The Batman/Superman viginette dios are nearly complete. I used plastic rod for the steel rods and painted and weathered them so far using Vallejo and Army Painter paints.

Tomorrow I'll do a little more weathering using pastel chalks then take my usual pics.
