Hi All

I was looking thru the Indiana Jones Magazines the other day and came across a pic of Indy in a deep sea divers suit and was intrigued by the picture.
After doing some more searching I came across Indiana Jones and the Shrine of the Sea Devil comics and saw that Indy used a deep sea suit, After seeing the pictures I decided that I would give this a go as it is such a different look for Indy.

Once I put the whole figure and base to together to see what it would like I pulled everything apart and painted and weatherd it using Vallejo, Games Workshop paints and pastels.

RECIPE

1: Indiana Jones - Indy's body and head are from Sideshow Toys, the gloves are from a Dragon the divers helmet,  The diving suit,  shoulder plate and metal souls and weight blocks are from the old GI JOE figures.
The lead weight blocks are actually plastic I just repainted them to look like lead,  The harness is made of leather and 1/6 scale buckles.

The knife and sheath are from Dragon and the boots souls are real lead weights from the GI Goe figure and the ankle braces are made from left over material and 1/6 scale buckles.
The diving helmet was missing the handle so I used some 1/72 scale pieces from the bits box to make one,  The rope is from also from the bits box.

2: Base - The base is from the hardware shop from the craft section and the ships decking was done by using balsa wood and then I scribed the blank sections into it.  The crate was made from scraps of balsa wood which I got from my scrap box and was built I scribed panels into it.

Looks phenomenal Ron. Sounds like an intersting story. What was he looking for by diving? Atlantis?

Hi All

I've always loved stop motion films since I can remember and decided that I would give one a go using 1/6 scale figures. I thought about  it for a long time a finally decided to do one about Indiana Jones.

This will be a project that I have set a completion date of March 17th 2011 as I'm still new to stop motion.  In this section you will see how and what I have done to achieve this project and if you have any questions feel free to contact me.

I figured that I would start work on this film by making the Temples that will be seen from two different views one will be by plane and the other will be from a ledge in the mountians,  The size is roughly 1/350th scale so it was made just for distance shots.

RECIPE

I've done a tutorial for this little project so you can see how I made it and what I used. Here is a link to the tutorial section and enjoy.

Ron, you are the man! You got Indiana Jones on the front page of a Star Wars site! I have never seen that before today. This is a breath taking scene. I can visualize a plane flying over this diorama. As usual so well done, it looks perfect! I can't wait to see more from this project!

Hi All

Tamer - Cheers buddy and FP I'm honoured especially not being SW.

CaptainMountie - Thanks mate.

Luke Sprywalker - Mate I know FP and I can't stop  ;D . I'm really enjoying this project and I really want to take my time with it. The other thing is the space I have about half a gargae where I'll be doing the filming but the sets will take up most of the room.

I'll have to get in contact with Hangerbay94 and ask him would he mind doing a little PS to this for me.

Ron
