Hi All,

I did more work on the TB diorama.

I have built and painted the Jet Bomber plane using Vallejo paints and added decals from left over spare ones. The Bomber was made using plastic card and I then ripped the right back wing off to simulate it hitting the tower.

The comms tower was painted using Vallejo Paints and then I used a pair of cutters to destroy where the bomber had it.

The mountians and ground work were given washes of different browns and then a wash of medium grey. I gave the ocean floor a few washes of Vallejo Iraqui Sand and The road to the Comms Tower had been given it's first coat and I still need to weather it and add the lines.

The bushes are from Army Painter and the tree's and small shrubs are from Woodland Scenics.

That glass adds such a unique feature to this. Really cool effect and the dio looks great. Off to share.

Thanks heaps Shawn and I'm hoping that once I do the waves it will give a real watery look to it.

Hi All,

More work done on the TB diorama.

I have added two different types of seaweed to the ocean floor. The tall thin seaweed is dried roots painted a light green and glued on with PVA glue and the small grassy looking seaweed is static grass Dark Green from Woodland Scenics.

I got some non stick cooking paper and dapped PVA around in different sizes and sprinkled the static grass over the glue. I then took the non stick cooking paper out side and blew across the paper to make the static grass standup and once the PVA glue dried I pulled the grass/seaweed off and glued them to the base.

Hi All,

Last update for the night.

Pic's 1 and 2 have had the glass covered with a 70/30 mix of Woodland Scenics Realistic water 70% and Light Green Artist Paint 30% and once mixed it was spread over the glass and left to dry.

Pic 3 shows what the mix looks like underneath and Pic 4 shows how the scenery now has a very light green auroa from the mix.

Pic's 5, 6 and 7 shows the water now with Woodland Scenics Water Effects covering it. It's a little hard to see but the water has very small waves to match the scale of the TB's, I did this by spreading the Water Effects over the first mix and while drying I got a damp baby wipe and starting dapping on a angle towards the large land mass.

Once the Water Effects dries it will be clear and then I will give the waves a very light dry brush of white to bring out the waves. The road has had the lines painted on then a wash of matt black was done to tone down the grey.

Ron
