Hi All,

Did a little 1:35 scale WW2 dio of a German NCO Fallschirmjager invading the low lands in May 1940.

The figure and parachute are from Zvezda and comes wth another 4 figures but I just wanted to build the figure and chute only to see what it is like.

The quality with the Zvezda kits is amazing the details are nice and crisp and hardly no flash and the kit also comes with the string for the chutes ropes.

I painted and weathered the figure and chute using Vallejo paints and the base was done using Tamiya's Diorama Texture paint (Soil Effect). The soil effect is great and is a paint and and fine grit mixed in with it and it becomes a thick paste which I applied with a brush.

Once dry I then dry brushed it with Vallejo Tan Earth and the added the tufts which are from Army Painter and the bushes are from Woodland Scenics.

Thanks heaps Philipp and I was very surprised how great the Tamiya effects look.  I forgot to mention that I dapped it down with a damp baby wipe to flatten down and it also gives it more detail as well.

Excellent work on the Fallschirmjäger diorama.
The posture of the figure looks very realistic.

The Tamiya Diorama Texture paint looks great. I'll try it if I can get it.

Hi All,

Finally completed this 1/35 WW2 dio after is has been sitting on the shelf for a while.

The figure's and cow are from Master Box and have been built straight out of the box and have been painted and weathered with Vallejo Paints and Pastel Chalks.

The base is a old figure base and I added a 50/50 mix of spakfilla/sand and applied it to the base. The fence is some scrap balsa wood I have lying around and the grss tufts are from Army Painter and the bushes are from Woodland Scenics.
