FANTASTIC work, Ron!  Thanks for sharing your techniques - CA to etch foam??  Genius!  Now I've got *another* crazy scheme to try out...  I wonder if a nice chunk of sandstone would work for texturing the wall-plaster I have.  That would make for a nice bit of artistry on a Mos Eisley-style building wall.

Hi All

DocOutlands - Mate glad you are enjoying it and appreciate the reply. Wall-plaster I'm expectiong is the same as plaster board which it's called here. All you wiil have to do is peel off the paper/cardboard that is over the plaster and the sandstone will work perfectly.

On a side note when your peeling the paper/cardboard away from teh plaster and some of  the plaster does come of don't worry about it as this will add soem great texture to the building.

Hi All

Well the dio is 95% done just have to do the figures and then use some pastels.

The barberd wire was given a paint of gunmetal and then a wash of hull red and beastial brown to give it a rusty look.

The boards were painted and washed using black, beastial brown and a mix of flat earth and flat white. Once dry I gave it a quick sanding.

The entrance was given a final drybrush of dark sand to tone down the darker stone colour.

Looks amazing Ron. Can't wait to see the final display. Not sure if everyone knows but I have this scene in my posession made by ron in 3 3/4 inch csale. It also features Indy descending into the Map Room. I treasure it!

This is perfect Ron! That Sallah head is so life like, the weathering on his clothes is perfect. Did you use pastels for that? I went out to by some but was not sure I had the right product. Are they oil pastels? I really want to start weathering with them. Another piece that belongs in a museum, well done my friend.
