Hi All,

The Star Trek starship battle dio I was doing is now completed. I named the dio -Battle at the Delvian Belt.

The custom decals haven't arrived so instead of calling the ship U.S.S. APACHE NCC-1968 I used decals from the Polar Lights Enterprise and Botany Bay kit and called the ship U.S.S. INFERNAL NCC-167.

The phasers were done using thin plastic rod and painting them with light blue.

Thanks heaps Shawn and I'll let you and the members know how I go. I have been busy of late as Belinda and Rhylie are away for Rhylie's indoor Rep team finals so it's just me and the boy for 6 whole days, so building models playing PS4 and having the toilet seat up LOL who could ask for more.

Beautiful work again on these dioramas, Ron. I really love how the "Delvian Belt" turned out, quite stunning.

Hi All,

German 1st Cavalry Division - France 1940 -1:35 Dio.

Recipe

The figures are a mix of ICM and Tamiya and the horse's from Tamiya's old Wehrmacht Cavalry set #305053. The kubelwagon is from Italeri set #312 and the building is from Miniarts set #35520.
I just used the front section of the Miniart kit as I will be using the rest of the kit for another project. I painted the figures, horses, kubelagon and building with Vallejo paints and weathered with GW Agrax Earthshade and pastel chalks.

The base is thick foam and I used an old piece of vac formed cobblestone for the road and the ground work was done using spakfilla mixed with fine sand. Once the spakfilla/sand mix was dry I then painted and weathered it with Vallejo Paints and pastel chalks.

I used Woodland Scenics Olive Green foliage for the tree and small bushes and I used Woodland Scenics Medium Green static grass and once dry I used pastel chalks to tone down the colour and the grass tufts are from Army Painter.
