Hi All

Next up for my Raiders Collection is the iconic German Mechanic. Alot of cutsomizers have done this guy either in 3-3/4" or 12" scale I even did him in 7" scale years ago and with all the customs of him everyone even myself have done him without his shirt on as that is the way we all remember him.

I decided to go for a different approach and do him with his shirt and cap on as his coming out of the hut and he see's Indy near the flying wing. As with all my figure and dios once I got the look and feel I wanted I used Vallejo and GW paints to paint him and Vallejp and pastels for the weathering.

RECIPE

1: German Mechanic - The top half of the body is a 12" Aggression Wrestling figure which has had it's forearms, chest and upper neck heavily sanded to get the shirt to fit. I used GW greenstuff to add some thickness to the neck to get the head to sit correctly.

The chest and stomach has had greenstuff added also to get rid off any extra creases which happened after the sanding. The head is from a 12" Jesse Ventura figure which has had the paint stripped off and then repainted.  The lower body is from a Dragon figure as the wrestling legs were just way to huge to put ons and also I needed to give him some height which the wrestling legs didn't have.

The pants are from the Sideshow German Indy, the boots/garters, belt and shirt are from Dragon and the cap is from Soldier Story.

2: Generic Base - This base is what I'll be using for all my Indy figures that need a desert base until I get all my figures done then I'll be making bases for them.

Ron Hembling has just hit 2 more home runs with these latest custom figures! Love the German soldier, everything on him looks perfect! Then you give us the Mechanic! I love this guy and your custom is just flawless! That Jesse head really works well for him. The clinched fist is a great touch as is the dirt on his knees. Sooooo well done my friend. Great show yesterday and thanks for answering my question.

Hi All

Well guys here are the WIP pics of the Space Marine Armour all other projects are on hold till I complete this and teh Space wolves one

I decided to hold of on my Space Wolves marine and go with my own style of marine first. I spent a good 5 hours on this so far and yes there has been swearing screaming :).

I dropped him and broke off the foot pin so the left leg and armour as been superglued together but that doesn't bother me.

Also I warped the cod piece to much and didn't realize it until I had it all together but again no big deal and it's a great learning curve.

It will have both the bald head and the helmet so enjoy and I will have more pics up when I restart him tomorrow arvo.

Ron

This looks really cool Ron! So what have you done? Does that armor come as a kit and you are adding it to an articulated body?

Hi All

Guys thanks heaps and glad you are all liking it so far and I'llhave more WIP pics soon.

Spry - the armour was done by a good friend and is a kit and sorry mate no names yet until I get the ok.

The armour has been added to a TTL v3 body for articulation and the first 3 pics I'll I've done is add some pieces from from bits box in the way of a 1/35 tank road wheel and the belts are 1/6 belts from the parts bin.
