The Afrika korps truck is really awesome. I've always been interested in the North Africa campaign. You ever watch Rat Patrol? Lol it was banned in Australia because it gives all the credit to the Americans and the main character wears a slouch hat, which it worn exclusively by Australians. It was a cool show, but it really made british and Australians mad.
Thanks so much JD and yeah I've seen it and being ex Army I just saw it for what it was a good war action war series and things back in those days needed American actors to sell it to the US audience, it is like the movie The Great Escape.
There were Americans at the start of the digs in real life but Americans were moved out of the POW camp months before the real actual breakout, so instead of showing that in the movie they kept the Americans in to sell the movie to the US audience.
